Day 1: Minsk City Tour (private driving and walking tour) + Stalin Line

Stop At: Minsk Gates, Kirova St., Minsk Belarus
These two 11 storey buildings resemble the towers of an ancient castle. They are powerful structures that mark the entrance to the city. One of the towers has a huge clock – it's the biggest clock in the republic.

Stop At: Independence Square, Minsk 223050 Belarus
On Independence Square you will visit one of the most beautiful churches of Belarus - the Church of Saints Simeon and Helena, you will see the Government House with Lenin's sculpture at the main entrance, former tenement houses, the Minsk City Hall, a fountain with three storks, and two universities.

Stop At: Oktyabrskaya Square, Minsk Belarus
In October Square you will see two palaces - the Palace of the Republic and the Palace of Culture of Trade Unions, as well as the magnificent Alexander Square and the House of Officers.

Stop At: Upper City, Kirilla I Mefodiya, Minsk 220030 Belarus
A visit the Freedom Square - the historical center and the heart of the city. Here you can see the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Town Hall, the Gostiny Dvor, a complex of former Uniat monasteries, beautiful sculptural compositions. In the cathedral of the Holy Spirit you will have the opportunity to see the most valuable Orthodox shrine of Belarus - the oldest icon of the Minsk Mother of God.

Stop At: National Library of Belarus, Nezavisimosti 116, Minsk 220114 Belarus
The National Library of Belarus was opened by the Belarus President on 16 June 2006. The central entrance looks like an open book with pictures to highlight the development of the global written language and the Slavonic one as well as a quote in 19 languages from Frantsisk Skorina’s Bible that encourages people to learn. The Library’s interior uses works by modern Belarusian artists and sculptors for decoration.

Stop At: Victory Square, Minsk Belarus
Victory Square in Minsk - is a memorable place in honor of the immortal feat of the people during the Great Patriotic War. Victory Square is located in the very center of Minsk, on its main avenue. The central place in the architectural ensemble of Victory Square is the Monument or Obelisk of Victory. This monument was built in 1954 in honor of soldiers of the Soviet army and partisans of Belarus who died in the battles for the liberation of Belarus. The height of the obelisk is about 40 meters. The monument is faced with a gray granite and is completed with the image of the Order of Victory. On the four sides of the pedestal there are bronze high reliefs, which are called: "May 9, 1945", "Glory to the lost heroes", "The Soviet Army during the Great Patriotic War", "Partisans of Belarus".

Stop At: Island of Tears, Minsk 223050 Belarus
In the vicinity of the Trinity Suburb you will find a monument erected on an island in the very heart of Minsk. Right next to the bridge you can see the foundation stone with an icon that marks the birth of the monument. The focal place belongs to the chapel where the names of all Belarusian soldiers who died in Afghanistan are carved on the walls. A guardian angel looks after the chapel. The angel is crying. The angel is crying because he failed in his main task — to keep those whose names are engraved inside the chapel safe. The place is surrounded with boulders with the names of the Afghani provinces where the hostilities unfolded.

The monument stands close to the water as if floating in the eternity. The old and the modern residential areas are bound by the fabric of time, make the people reflect over the calamities of military conflicts...

Stop At: The Historical and Cultural Complex Stalin Line, Highway Minsk-Molodechno P28, 31 km, 1, Loshany 223038 Belarus
Stalin Line is a historical and cultural complex is located around 34 kilometers away from Minsk. A guided walk past the bunkers, trenches, tank obstacles and a restored section of the old border line can be concluded with a prearranged tank ride. It was built to protect the USSR against attacks from its western enemies. The complex has a wide range of military equipment from the war and post-war period including — aircraft, armored vehicles and artillery. On its territory mute witnesses of battles - original pillboxes were preserved. During the tour you will have an opportunity to try some soldier porridge in a local cafe, learn to shoot.

Day 2: Self-guided tour Minsk - Nesvizh Palace - Mir Castle. English speaking driver

Stop At: Nesvizh Castle, Leninskaya 19, Nesvizh 222603 Belarus
First we will head for the famous palace-and-park complex in Nesvizh that is only 120 kilometers away from Minsk. Founded at the end of the 16th century by the Radziwills, the palace was a combination of several architectural styles. In the 19th century a huge park was laid out nearby and is a perfect place for a walk even today. The palace was used as a health resort which saved it from destruction. The Nesvizh palace-and-park complex is also a part of the World Heritage and today, when the restoration of the castle is almost complete, it is open to public.

Stop At: Mir Castle, Krasnoarmeyskaya 2, Mir 231444 Belarus
Mir Castle (30 km away from Nesvizh) was founded in the early 16th century not far from Mir borough as a residence and was pretty expensive for its time. After the new hosts – the Radziwills – took over the castle, it was rebuilt into a magnate palace and beside thick curtain walls, loopholes, barracks and utility buildings it also featured luxurious apartments of the noble family that were appointed with works of art. Successive wars and decades of neglect resulted in complete decay of the castle by the end of WWII. It is only after the inclusion of the monument in UNESCO World Heritage List and a long restoration process that Mir Castle regained a part of its former luxury and was open for the visitors.
