About this activity
Make your way to the central Moab office where you meet your guides and receive an orientation and safety briefing. Then hop in the van that takes you to the put-in site along the Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River. Though situated not too far from town, this part of the river feels wild and remote with its soaring canyon walls, massive rock spires and abundant wildlife.

Get fitted in a lifejacket and other provided gear before hitting the water. Your rafting trip features oar rafts operated by your guide, although inflatable kayaks are usually available upon request. If you choose to ride in an inflatable kayak, your guide gives a paddle lesson and time to practice following directional commands that are needed when paddling.

Once you’re ready, step into your raft and prepare for a thrilling ride. This section of the Colorado River provides some Class II and III rapids with some bouncy moments on the water. Expect a few splashes too.

Your guide rows the oar boat while you hang on during the white-water rapids and hang out in calmer stretches of water. Take in classic western vistas between rapids, when you can take pictures and hop in the river to swim. Learn all about the human and natural history of the Colorado River from your naturalist guides, and gain a better understanding of the river and canyon. At the end of your half-day tour, your guide returns you to your starting point in central Moab.

We took our daughters and families (12) if us on this half day (4hours) rafting trip. Our guide, Reed, was a graduate from SD University as an ecology major. He was so interesting and made the trip even more fun. The entire crew was organized and friendly. The picnic lunch on the beach was perfect and tasty. A great day was had by all!

The water was still running fast for the seasons so they extended the length of the trip to give us the full time on the water. Patrick was a fun and knowledgeable guide.

This was my first rafting trip and just perfect for the beginning. Our guide Emilie hosted us with a great sandwich lunch by the Colorado river before entering the raft.I have to say; I felt super safe the whole trip. Emelie made this trip the best; even our weather changed quick and the Colorado River got little bit raugh, all was perfect. Her knowledge about the area is great.Make sure you are dressed proper and can just jump in the River. It can get hot; but there is an option to just jump off your float.I would definitely book here again and can suggest this team to young and older customers.

This was a great half-day trip! Easy rafting down the river, low risk, and some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever witnessed. Our guide Owen was friendly and super knowledgable about the area, the landscape, the geological features, and the river. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for something pretty quick and easy to enjoy while in Moab.
