About this activity
When your ship arrives at the Monaco port, your guide will pick you up from the cruise terminal and whisk you away on your full-day shore excursion along the French Riviera. The coastal area (also known as the Côte d'Azur) is renowned for its chic hotels, grand boulevards and luxury yachts, and will captivate you with its picturesque towns and magnificent Mediterranean views.

Travel by minivan along the coast to your first stop, Antibes. Explore the old part of this historical town and stroll past the million-dollar yachts of Billionaire's Quay. Continue west to the city of Cannes. Relax as you make your way along Croisette Boulevard (Promenade de la Croisette) and see the Festival Palace (Palais des Festivals et des Congrès), where the Cannes International Film Festival is held every year.

Make your way next to the charming Provençal village of St-Paul-de-Vence, famous for the many actors and artists who have lived there. Here you’ll have free time for lunch (own expense). Then, drive along the spectacular Middle Corniche, a coastal road with fantastic Mediterranean vistas. Arrive in the hilltop village of Eze for a tour of the Fragonard perfume factory, where you’ll learn about the history and production of high-end French perfumes.

On your way back to Monaco, pass through the village of La Turbie, known as the 'Terrace of Monaco.’ Here your guide will point out the impressive Roman monument Trophy of the Alps (Trophée des Alps), built by Emperor Augustus.

Arriving back in Monaco after a full day on the road, end with a tour of this fabulous principality — the second-smallest country in the world. See the Prince's Palace (Palais Princier), admire the gardens and casinos of Monte Carlo and drive along the road used in the famous Formula One Grand Prix race.

The highlight of this tour was definitely Eze and the Fragonnard perfumery. We loved Eze, although walking up to the top is definitely a challenge! So many beautiful sights!

What a disappointing day and waste of time this turned out to be. We spent most of the day in traffic in the van seeing sights from the car. We finally got to St Paul de Vence which is gorgeous and had 40 minutes before having to race back for the next part of the tour. We left the tour.

A lot of driving, van not particularly comfortable and driver did not have a mic so folks in back couldn't hear much. Decent stop in Eze. Highlights were the Casino and a drive around the race course! Recommend Dick c

Our driver/guide was very new at his job only about one week and while he is a very nice young man, he wasn't ready to be out on his own yet. Guests were talking and instead of interrupting he let points of interest go by unannounced. When he did speak, it was too soft for the guests in the back of the van to hear him. At the perfumery stop, due to allergies to perfume, half of the guests asked to be dropped off at the town of EZE just a short ride up the hill, instead of waiting in the van so the others could have the full time shopping. He didn't do this. We waited outside while the others had limited time in the perfumery. He didn't give us any information at Cannes, just parked and gave us 25 minutes to sightsee. No reference was made to a rest stop in the area after driving over an hour after enjoying our morning coffee on the ship! He had to follow the schedule but 45 minutes wasn't enough time to enjoy our visit and find a restaurant for lunch later in the day too. Again, he is a wonderful young man and additional training and tweaking to the schedule is recommended.

Excellent tour. The small group was just family so a real bonus. The driver could easily drive us into and out of places that would have taken much long walking. Beautiful sights!

While it was nice to see Cannes, I think the time could be better spent. It was fun to drive the Grand Prix course.

Very interesting tour...small group in van with very nice tour guide. Drove thru several cities of Côte d' Azure. Enjoyed Monte Carlo. Would of liked to spend just a little more time exploring the beaches.
