Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in San Jose!

Pass By: Parque Juan Santamaria, C. 2 and Avda. 3, Alajuela 20101 Costa Rica
On your arrival at the International Airport in San Jose, you will be transferred to the located in la Sabana Metropolitan Park.
Arrival & check-in at Hotel Rincon del Valle 3*, standard rooms, breakfasts & taxes included.

Day 2: San Jose – Waterfalls - Coffee tour – La Fortuna

Stop At: Mi Cafecito, 126, Alajuela Province, Alajuela, Costa Rica
Turn your day of travel into a fun filled adventure full of three of Costa Rica’s most beautiful sites. Pick up at your hotel for transfer to la Fortuna area, we will first pass by the picturesque La Paz Waterfalls, stop by the waterfalls for unforgettable pictures. Later, visit a Coffee Plantation and learn about the ancient techniques of planting, harvesting and processing coffee, as well as the importance of coffee production in Costa Rica. We’ll finish the tour off with a delicious, home-cooked traditional meal and cup of coffee. This tour is perfect to everyone of all ages. Continue to la Fortuna, a typical village in the northern Costa Rica, which is home of the impressive Arenal volcano and boasts extensive jungle and wildlife.

Day 3: Gondolas and hanging bridges tour – Hot springs and Dinner

Stop At: Butterfly Garden at Selvatura Park, Costa Rica
Start your tour embarking an open-air gondola, breathtaking views will get breathtaking as you get higher up onto the mountain. You can stop the gondola at any time on your way up to take pictures and really soak in what you are seeing. Reach the observation platform at the top in the middle of paradise! Next, head back down from the mountain and begin your forest adventure with the most innovative way to hike through the forest – the hanging bridges, which offer stunning views of the cloud forest and its inhabitants, such as mammals (coatis…) and reptiles.

Stop At: Los Lagos Hot Springs, Hotel los Lagos, Arenal Volcano National Park, La Fortuna de San Carlos Costa Rica
Afternoon at leisure to rest at the hotel or wander in la Fortuna picturesque town. Then spend the evening relaxing in natural hot springs to recover from your adventures and enjoy a delicious dinner at the onsite restaurant to complete a perfect day!

Day 4: Zipline "canopy" tour – Transfer to Tamarindo

Stop At: Arenal Ecoglide Park, 142, Provincia de Alajuela, San Carlos, Costa Rica
The Ecoglide zipline canopy is located in the primary rainforests near the base of the Arenal Volcano and offers heart pounding adventure and amazing views of the impressive landscape. There are 13 cables, from a 25-meter practice run to an exhilarating 430 meters, plus there is a famous (or infamous…) and adrenaline-pumping Tarzan Swing!
Later you will be transferred to Tamarindo. See famous “Brahma” cows, as well as rice, melons and sugar cane plantations, the traditional landscape of Guanacaste, along the way.

Day 5: At leisure in Tamarindo

Pass By: Tamarindo Beach, Tamarindo Costa Rica
Time at the beach on your own. Many optional, land and water tours are offered in the area in case you want activities, like nature & wildlife refuges! You may also visit the bustling town of Tamarindo. Please inquire for more information!

Day 6: At leisure in Tamarindo

Pass By: Tamarindo Beach, Tamarindo Costa Rica
Time at the beach on your own. Many optional, land and water tours are offered in the area in case you want activities, like nature & wildlife refuges! You may also visit the bustling town of Tamarindo. Please inquire for more information!

Day 7: Tamarindo – San Jose

Stop At: Plaza Real Alajuela, East of the Mcdonald's of the Tropicana 250m 250m East of the Mcdonald's of the Tropicana, Alajuela 20101 Costa Rica
Morning at leisure at the beach. Around 2pm, transfer to San Jose to spend the last night of your trip. Arrival & check-in at your hotel next to SJO airport.
Note: if you book a flight leaving from Liberia Airport (LIR) you may instead stay one more night at the beach and transfer to the airport on Day 8!

Day 8: San Jose hotel – San Jose Airport (SJO)

Today you will be transferred to San Jose International Airport to take your flight back home. Breakfast is included but is subject to departure time.
