9.30am: meet you guide at the Esplanade de l’Europe in Montpellier.
After a 30 min drive you will arrive in Mèze by the Thau lagoon. Visit this very charming little marina and learn all about the lagoon, its biodiversity and activity of oyster farming. You will then head to the local market with your guide who will bring you to selected stalls to sample what you need for lunch and discover the local products: oysters, cheeses, olives, charcuterie and the famous speciality of Sète, a seafood pie named « Tielle ». After your shopping your guide will bring you to his wine estate in the middle of the vineyard for a delicious simple lunch prepared with the ingredients bought at the market. Enjoy it paired with his wines in front of the vineyard...a true Mediterranean experience!
