About this activity
In the morning, meet your guide near the Lighthouse of Sète. This place is perfect to start. The view over the port built after the Second World War permits to talk about the most modern part of the city and its evolution since then. Strolling along the docks, discover the effervescence of the city, see the fishermen boats and let you tell a little bit about their activity. This particular place is also full of traditions and folklore and your guide will explain you the canal joust tradition and other particularities of this area. Some canals are crossing the city, and they are a link between the Mediterranean sea, The Thau lagoon and the Canal du Midi. That is why Sète is also called the Languedoc Venice. Be surprised also by some of the colorful streets of Sète and discover the curious Octopus square. Surrounded by the Sea and the Laguna of Thau, Sète is also famous for the gastronomy. End of the tour in the covered market for a tasting (Only in the morning, covered market is closed the afternoon).
