Ice Wine, Craft Beer & Cider Tour from Montreal with Exclusive Access

1 day
About this activity
You’ll be picked up from downtown Montreal, Old Montreal or Bromont (full-day only) in the morning and be taken by comfortable mini-coach through beautiful Quebec backcountry.

Half-day tour

During this excursion of approximately 5.5 hours, you will discover the region of Montérégie, but especially the municipality of Rougemont located 45 minutes from Montreal. This region is one of the largest apple producers in Quebec. As part of this outing, we will mainly serve ice cider, but also some drier products.

The first stop is at Coteau Rougemont vineyard. This estate is one of the largest producers of wines and ciders in Quebec. The second stop of the day is at Domaine Cartier-Potelle, a charming cidery located in the flank of Mont Rougemont. During this visit, you will learn how to make ice cider. You will also enjoy a small workshop of matching dishes and ciders. Finally, you will have the opportunity to taste their latest novelty: a fortified cider.

Full-day tour

During this excursion of nearly 9 hours. You will visit the most important wine region of Quebec and especially one of the most beautiful: the Eastern Townships. The first stop of the day is at the Léon Courville vineyard. This vineyard offers a spectacular view of Brome Lake. From the beginning of the day, you will have the opportunity to taste some very unique products in Quebec: late harvest and ice wine.

Afterwards, you will take the road back to Dunham, the cradle of viticulture in Quebec. You will have the opportunity to stop at the Dunham Brewery, which is ranked in the TOP 100. First, you will lunch at their restaurant called la Table Fermière before visiting the brewery and tasting beer sampling. Finally, you will visit the oldest vineyard in Quebec. Enjoy a cup of mulled wine near an outdoor fire (weather permitting). You will then have the opportunity to taste drier products such as red and white wine, but also a cider.

Great tour- nice transportation and the food was amazing. It was fun to try all the wine and the fire cider. Would have been nice to know that some parts were mostly in French but the guide helped in translation a bit.

Montreal Ice Wine Tour delights! Our driver and guide for the day, Michel, was very friendly and well informed. He not only took time to talk about the locations we were visiting but along the way gave the group nice information about the region in its history and also for its importance for wine harvesting in Quebec. All the wineries visited were enjoyable and well prepared for our visit. The wine tastings were quite nice and the explanations for production of ice and fire wine in Quebec were thorough and interesting. The group size was just right in order to get personal attention and to make it quite pleasant. They did a nice job in explaining in both english and french with ease. The location and wineries outside of Montreal were all very picturesque and it made for a lovely excursion and day! I would recommend this tour to friends.

For our first trip to Montreal in the middle of winter, this was a perfect way to spend the day. Our tour guide, Jon Paul was very knowledgeable. Not only did he explain the history of Montreal, but he made sure that most everything was translated into English, and he was a pleasure to be around. The first winery Leon Courville was my personal favorite. Learning how to make cocktails was so much fun. The woman who runs the winery was friendly, warm, and very welcoming to our group. She made sure we not only made delicious cocktails, but had a great time. For those of you who enjoy wine, I highly recommend this tour. The only negative aspect was that our lunch request was not honored we do not eat pork. Subsequently, there was not much to select from.

Great tour, good value for money and well planned. We particularly liked the first 2 vineyards on the tour.
