Pushkinskaya Square is the liveliest of the city squares and the real heart of Moscow. Muscovites met the miraculous icon of the Holy Mother of God, built a slender five-domed cathedral, then a monastery and a bell tower, and, later, a monument to Pushkin. But in Soviet times, the monastery and Pushkin could not be in the same territory.

Also, there is the first McDonald's at Pushkin square, which served over 30 thousand visitors. It was the world record for the first working day in the history of McDonald's.
