• 08:30 Pickup from your accommodation in Chiang Rai city
• Visit Black House (aka Ban Dachanee)
• Visit White Temple (aka Wat Rong Khun)
• Lunch

• 17:00 (approx) Drop off to your accommodation in Chiang Rai cityOnce we have collected you at 8.30am, we will travel to walk around Black House, and then the White temple, which are on opposite sides of the city. Both locations have been built by famous Thai artists, but each is very different from the other. The nicknames (Black House' and 'White Temple') come from their buildings' predominant colours. There is also another temple in Chiang Rai, nicknamed the 'Blue Temple', for the same reason. Guests should be appropriately dressed for these visits, please refer to our dress code.
After lunch, we will drive to the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar borders meet. It sits on the Mekong river, and is popular with Thai tourists. Before crossing the river in a long-tailed boat, to visit a small market on the Laos side, we will walk around the 'Hall of Opium' museum, built by the King's Royal Project. It details the history of opium in this region, with its associated effects, and problems which continue to this day.
*To cross the river, you will need to bring your original passport. This is not stamped, and you do not need a visa, as the market in Laos is self-contained, with not option to exit into that country.
We are able to supply an air-conditioned minivan, for an extra fee, but this will need to be confirmed at time of booking (max. 10 people). For groups of only 2-3 people, our pickup truck will suffice, as there is the option to sit in the A/C cab if you wish.

- A bra should be worn at all times
