About this activity
After we collect you from your accommodation around 8:30am and head to our foundation. We run a number of projects, all devoted to improving the daily lives and futures of local hill tribe communities - by showing you a short film of our work, you will understand more fully how your participation is helping our cause.
Lunch is prepared using bamboo as the container for cooking the rice, the eggs, and the vegetables. It is also used to create bamboo cups, chopsticks, and a cooking spoon. We cater for vegetarians and vegans - please advise us at the time of booking.
Your guide is a local hill tribe villager, so you can be sure the information you receive about the cultures and local wildlife is accurate. Please note that the guide's English skills will be basic, so please encourage talking, to improve their language skills. The guide doesn't require a tip, and tips are not part of the culture in Thailand. Our foundation is non-profit, dedicated to improving the lives of the hill tribe communities in this region. The money you spend goes back into the community, and the fee ensures a fair wage for the guide.
There are no hidden extra costs in the programme, and the only money you may wish to spend will be on souvenirs and snacks.
