Charms of Gandhar Alibag

• Day 1: Arrival at Alibag- Take the 0800 Hrs PNP catamaran from gateway of India to Mandwa Jetty,Arrive at the Eco lodge by 0945 hrs.Village walk,Visits to small cottage industries located in the village,Dinner at the place of stay.
• Day 2: Excursion of Mandwa or Alibag forts, Village walk early morning boat ride to Mandwa fort, Post lunch visit to Alibag town; Synagogue and Alibag Fort.
• Day 3: Departure from village, return to Mumbai after breakfast by the 1100 hrs PNP catamaran.

Alibag is a coastal town and is the most populous excursion destination from Mumbai. It has historic hinterland of Bene Israeli Jews. A rich person named Ali used to live there at that time and owned many plantations of mangoes and coconut in his garden, Hence the local called the place Alichibagh and the name struck to Alibag For the stressed city goers, Alibag poses as a weekend destination. Our aim in the proposed project in the village That off Alibag is to allow the vastness of the sky to seep into the lives of our guests. Allow our guests to imbibe the serenity of the space and go back to their daily routine with a calm and content being. The stay is a quaint bamboo cottage.

Bamboo has some unique features such as uprightness, tenacity and hollow heart. People endow bamboo with integrity, elegance, and plainness, though it is not physically strong. Bamboo has numerous utility value- construction, culinary, medicine, textile, furniture, ornamentation. Bamboo is used as a metaphor to revisit our value systems in today's tech-connected world.
