I believe this tour was through Sandman's and we had already experienced how great they are on other tours. Our guide Chris was so funny and smart and entertaining...never bored with him! It's totally worth letting someone else drive you there as traffic and parking is a terror...It was well organized and there were options to take a bus up tot he top if you felt the walk up was a bit much. Inside there is a guide who allows you just enough time to experience the architecture and decor. No cameras are allowed which is fine with me as our society has been overrun with amateur photographers (myself guilty at times) but it gives everyone a chance to look around. Highly recommended

Meeting Point was easy to locate. The bus ride was comfortable, and we had 15 mins to grab some snacks for those who came without breakfast. The story telling by our professional guide Sarah Owen was fantastic. The walk up the hill could be tedious for some though. Come prepared with good walking shoes, rain coat, and water bottle.

This trip was fantastic! The castle and countryside were, of course, very beautiful and exceeded every expectation. What made the trip even better though was our tour guide, Sarah Owen. She had obviously done this trip before because she was very organized and helpful. Her story of King Ludwig II and the history of the castle was very engaging and really enhanced our experience.

Our tour guide, Sarah, was professional and very personable. The weather was atrocious for our tour and she was able to think quickly to make all the right decisions for our group. The starting point was easy to find and the train trip by itself was very pretty.

I was surprised when I booked this trip expecting to go by train and instead went on a bus. I expected to get to the castle quicker since we were suppose to go by train. Luckily for us traffic was not that bad (sometimes traffic can be horrible) and we got there on time. This was the best decision I made since I was going to drive. Didn't have to worry about driving, parking, buying tickets, and possibly getting lost. I recommend this to everyone.
