We had a great tour! We choose our bikes and rode along this secret path to see both castles from this beautiful field! The castle ticket is included which was amazing as we didn’t wait in line. The bike trail was flat mostly and easy. Would definitely recommend this!

We had SUCH a great time on this tour! Our hotel in Munich was right across the street from the Munich Hbf so that made it easy to hope on the 9:52 train to Fussen. Note, if you buy the Bayern ticket in advance, you don't need to additionally book tickets for that mornings trip, just select the date of the tour when you buy it and it's valid for travel on that date. You can ask at the information desk where to catch the train or check out the DB app. Back to the tour- so upon arriving in Fussen, we tried using the restroom at the station which made us late to meet our tour guide- head straight to the meet up point instead! The hostel where they specify to meet has restrooms you can use... So, when we finally found the meet up place a few minutes late, our guide was SO welcoming and understanding! She proceeded to get us situated with our bikes and explained the day's itinerary. We then rode our bikes as a group to the castle and along the way she took us to a few photo stops and she explained some history and geography of the area which was super helpful. Upon arriving in Schwangau, she provided us our tickets for the castle entry and gave us maps and some tips for catching the train back to Munich. We then got to explore on our own, which was actually quite nice. It was a quick bike ride back and super easy to do with her previous instructions. I 100 recommend this tour, you'll get much more out of the visit compared to just going to the castle on a bus tour, for example. I so enjoyed the view of the Alps and nearby villages during our bike ride.

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. It was nice to take the train from Munich which allowed us to view the countryside. The bicycle tour was fantastic as they took time to show us around the town and area then left us to explore on our own. We rode our bicycles to the Neuschwanstein Castle area where we locked them up then headed up the hill to visit the Castle. Bicycling was very easy to do in this beautiful country area. The Town of Fuessen is quite quaint. I wish I could have stayed longer--the day went so fast.

Me and my partner went on this trip and it was a fantastic day! We arrived at Fussen train station from Munich and then walked to the meeting location. It turns out this trip runs from a small hostel, which surprised as at first, but we were welcomed, offered drinks and were then able to choose from a selections of different bikes. We did not have tickets to Neuschwanstein Castle, so the host tried to call the castle to reserve tickets but was not able to get hold of them. Another person who worked at the hostel said that he would try to contact them again while we were out on our bike ride. On this day, it was just me, my partner and the host, which meant it was nice and personal. We rode around different attractions and stopped multiple times with the host giving us information about what we could see. We stopped at a very lovely waterfall something you wouldn't get to see on a typical coach tour and then rode to the Austrian border. At this point, the other hostel worker met us at the border with the tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle. We felt that he went above and beyond as he had to drive to the castle to purchase the tickets and then drive to where we were on the bike ride to hand us the tickets, it was a very nice gesture. We then proceeded to ride to Neuschwanstein Castle, with many photo stops along the way. Once we arrived, the host gave us a map and directions on how to get back to the hostel. She then gave us a brief tour around the small village at the bottom of the castles and we said our goodbyes. We were told to return back to the hostel whenever we were ready, there was no specific time, this was great. There are two castles to visit but Neuschwanstein was the most spectacular. There are some great opportunities to take photos. The tour inside the castle lasted around 40 minutes, which plenty of information. There was some rain in the afternoon, but we purchased some ponchos and had great fun, especially riding back in the rain! Overall, we both thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The highlight was definitely the bike ride. It was such a great experience and you get to see a lot more than a usual coach trip. We would like to say thank you very much to the staff at the hostel for such a fantastic day! I would highly recommend this trip.
