Meet outside the Tourist information centre on the Marienplatz in central Munich 10 minutes before the departure time. Your guide will have a black and white placard with Dachau Memorial Tour on it

Stop At: Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, Pater-Roth-Str. 2A, 85221, Dachau, Bavaria Germany

With your Memorial licensed guide travel for 20 mins with the modern and efficient Munich train system to the Town of Dachau, cost included in the tour. You will spend 3 hrs at the Memorial and be given historical context about the site by your guide. All areas of the site will be covered including barracks, Crematorium and gas chamber, bunker punishment block and maintenance building, with historical context given. Time will also be allocated for the excellent museum exhibition.

Relax, your guide will escort you all the way back to the original start point at Marienplatz at approximately 2pm. You can of course depart anywhere on the train journey back including Munich main station.

Alun is an excellent tour guide. He was very informative and was very attentive during the entire tour. He got our group on and off the train with ease. He gave us an excellent tour of the Dachau site making sure we saw and were informed of all areas of the site. If you are planning a trip to Dachau go with Alun- you won't regret it.

Alun was very informative and accommodating! especially since we arrived a day late! (our fault) he still accepted us to that days tour with a smile. Alun was very knowledgeable and had insight to the camp that we more than likely would have overlooked on our own. I would highly recommend taking this tour as it was eye opening and touching (5 stars)

While it is difficult to appropriately comment on visiting a concentration camp, my husband, 12 year old son and I all felt like this tour was educational and honest as to the atrocities that occurred in Dachau. Alun, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable, eager to answer questions, kind and helpful. Despite giving the tour for years, Alun conveyed the gravity and absolute horror that occurred at the camp while providing objective educational information. He guided our group with ease to the camp via subway and bus and throughout the facility. We were given about 45 minutes at the end of the tour to visit the museum exhibit on our own.

Our guide was excellent. He took care of the train tickets (included in the price), Got us on and off the train and a short bus ride to the concentration camp. He was very knowledgeable and took extra care to make sure we were all together. The only thing, we needed more time in the museum.

Alun provides an amazing experience. There were only four of us on the tour and he gave us ample opportunity to discuss and try to make sense of the senseless. If you’re going to Dachau, I would do this tour. The subject matter is beyond horrifying but it is important to bear witness, especially in this time.
