Munich Old Town in a Nutshell

Enjoy the history and heritage of the Old Town of Munich! The walk will take you from Karlstor to Odeonsplatz leading us between the major sites in the Old Town: St. Michael Church, the cathedral (Frauenkirche), Marienplatz, St. Peters church, the old castle and the new castle (the residence). 

The guide will provide you with information on the history, architecture and people linked to a dozen iconic sites in the Old Town. You will discover ancient rivalries, war, miracles, myths, and above all human ingenuity and hard facts.

The narrative of this tour is simple but not simplistic. Its goal is to invite you to discover the city without overwhelming you with too much information. You will be provided with the knowledge necessary to understand the history of Bavaria with additional details about the city and its major monuments.
