Experience the rich beauty of Bavaria and the alps as you cruise to the Royal Castle of Herrenchiems

Experience a day of wonder exploring an gorgeous fairy-tale castle nestled in Bavaria’s largest lake. Hop on a boat with your guide and cross Lake Chiemsee, the largest of Bavaria’s lakes and head straight to the beautiful island of Herreninsel, where the castle itself stands. You’ll get to explore this gorgeous replica France’s Versailles commissioned by King Ludwig. It will be as though you were walking through a fairytale in these grand halls, and throughout the journey your guide will tell you about the history of the location and how it had come to be. You’ll head to Fraueninsel afterward, which is another island in the lake and will visit a Benedictine church within it. It’s famous for its Kloster Liquor spirit, made by the nuns. You’ll enjoy the gorgeously picturesque locations and will be a beautiful experience to take back with you as you head back to Munich.
