On this tour, you will interact with some master craftsmen and experience the intricate process involved in silk weaving. You will learn how silk threads are made and then dyed into bright colours, loaded on weaving looms, and transformed from threads to a soft fabric by the artisans. Mysore silk sarees have lovely designs on their borders which are often made in silver or gold thread work called Zari. You will get to see how these metal threads are intricately incorporated into the borders of sarees to create beautiful borders.
