For Battles and Blood: An Excursion to the City of Srirangapatnam from Mysore

On this tour, you will visit the city of Srirangapatnam which is not only synonymous with the figure of Tipu Sultan (who died here during a battle against the British Empire) but is also considered to be the prime scene of political change during the reign of the Sultanate of Mysore. Much of the site of Tipu Sultan's battle is still intact today, including the ramparts, the Water Gate, the place where Tipu's body was found, the area where the British prisoners were held and the site of the destroyed palace.

This island fortress was the summer capital of Haider Ali and Tipu Sultan and is picturesquely located on the banks of the River Cauvery. Here, you can see Tipu’s summer palace, his mausoleum and the temple dedicated to Sri Ranganathaswamy.
