About this activity

Meet home-chefs Diya and Veena as they invite you to their beautiful home in Hakathur which is situated 12 kms from Madikheri. You will be served with a glass of fresh fruit juice made with home-grown fruits. Following this you can join them for a walk around their plantation where you will get to see vegetable patches and the rice field. You can also herd, pet and feed the cows that they have and try your hand at feeding some geese. After this you can head back home and straight to the dining table where you will be served some authentic flavours of Kodava cuisine.

Some of the dishes in this exquisite menu may include Pandi (Pork) curry is extremely famous in Coorg. This is well enjoyed with Ooti, flatbread made of cooked rice and rice powder), Mutton Pepper fry (Pepper is an integral spice in their cooking and this dish highlights that flavour), Sauteed Vegetables (Tender chicken pieces are cooked with an assortment of vegetables). For dessert, Veena and Diya may serve you Khus-Khus Kheer which is a special pudding made of rice flour and poppy seeds).
