About this activity
In the morning you'll be picked up from your resort and taken to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant where you will spend the next hour. The garden is a popular spot to spend the day meandering along the canopy-covered boardwalk, through the perfectly landscaped lawns and across calm lily ponds complete with trickling fountains. The highlight of the gardens has to be the orchids, carefully tended and well displayed. These fragile flowers are breathtakingly beautiful when seen in the golden light of the early morning.

After the Garden of the Sleeping Giant you will head to the Sabeto Hot Springs and Sabeto Mud Baths. This activity is one way to immerse yourself into the Fijian way of life. Get changed into your swimwear and enter the thick muddy pool to relax. Hop out of the pool and cake yourself in mud. Allow the mud to dry in the sun before hopping back into the muddy bath, before heading over to the clear spring water to rinse yourself off.

From the mud pool you can either opt for a spot of shopping and lunch in Nadi Town and Denarau or just stopover for lunch (at own expense) in Denarau before heading back to your resort.

The tour starts with pickup at various hotels/resorts and then stopping first at the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. We were given about an hour to walk around the garden, which was very picturesque. There's lots of paths to explore at the garden. Before leaving, we were given a refreshing glass of cold juice. Next, was a visit to the hot springs/mud baths. First, we lathered ourselves with mud from a bucket and let it dry on our bodies in the sun. While waiting, our driver guided us around the site and explained the various pools and where the hot spring water comes from. Then came a dip into the mud pool where we washed off as much of the dried mud as possible. The floor of this pool is quite squishy as all the mud that has been washed off visitors' bodies is now laying at the bottom. The pool was a cool-warm temperature, depending on where in the pool you stood. Finally, we transferred to the the hot pool where we soaked and relaxed. This pool was nice and warm, especially closer to where the source water fills the pool. Towels can be rented for 5FJD each. There are facilities to change at and store your belongings while you lather and soak. After the final pool, there are also showers to cleanse off, if you want. Most of us just toweled off and opted to shower back at the hotel. We had a couple which were doing the ZipLine tour with this company, so we had to first drop them off before commencing our visit to the Garden. After our soak at the hot springs, we also picked up the couple from the ZipLine location. Expect the transfers to/from locations to take extra time and also be on bumpy roads. This may be a consideration if you are susceptible to car/motion sickness. The locations of the tour were very nice. Would have preferred to know a few more details about our itinerary and also not having to do the extra transfer to the ZipLine. Our driver was on-time, very friendly and accommodating.
