Ramen Cooking Class and Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony in Nagoya

This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Your experience begins by meeting your host Yukie at the Shōnai Ryokuchi Kōen station. After a 5 minute walk to her house, your experience begins with a short tour of a small garden on the property where her father grows vegetables and herbs. You will even pluck some fresh herbs for the cooking class! The cooking class will be hands on and will last for 45 minutes, in which you will learn how to make ramen from scratch. Yukie will start the meal portion of this activity with a traditional tea ceremony, while explaining to you more about Japanese food and culture. After which you will join her at her dinner table to eat the home cooked Japanese meal that you have made previuosly. This may also include a few more dishes from the region of Nagoya – spicy chicken wings, miso kushikatsu (fried pork with miso) and you will end your meal with cream zenzai (vanilla ice cream and bean paste, often eaten in Nagoya).
