About this activity
Did you know that every area in Japan has its own traditional, regional foods? In Nagoya, people cherish their local dishes such as misokatsu – pork cutlet with red miso sauce.

During this class, you will learn how to make loved Nagoya foods like a real "Nagoya-jin," local of Nagoya!

After you meet your guide at Café Restaurant & Guest House NAGONOYA, visit a local supermarket. Learn how it’s different from the one in your country and do some grocery shopping.

After the shopping, you will head back to NAGONOYA to enjoy a cooking lesson, where the guide will teach you how to cook Nagoya’s local cuisine “Misokatsu”, pork cutlet with dark miso sauce, onigiri rice ball, and Japanese soul food, miso soup.

Also learn how to use red miso paste - the very Nagoyan ingredient and make dishes with it!
