About this activity
This tour departs in the early morning from your hotel to the Escarpment to the floor of the Great Rift Valley in to Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way you have the chance to stop at a viewpoint and take pictures of the Great Rift Valley below you.

Once we arrive at the park we will have game en route to the lodge with lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge which is inside the Park. You may get out of the vehicle at the Lake shore to get a closer look at the birds. The nearby cliffs offer sightings of baboons, birds of prey and scurrying hyraxes, as well as great views of the park.

Lake Nakuru National Park covers 180 square kilometers and is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard as well as White and Black Rhinos which were introduced to the Park a few years ago.

Day 2

Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha

Depart Nakuru at 7:30am by road to Hell's Gate National Park. Once at the Park, you have the option of a game drive in a Safari vehicle or take bikes into the Park. Cycling in the Park is a great adventure as you get to ride the bikes for 7 Kilometers before resting at a ranger's post.

After a brief stop at the rangers post you leave the bike and start a walking safari. Enjoy the spectacular views of the gorge. The walking trip or safari takes 3 hours. The park provides a variety of wildlife, unusual flora and many species of birds and is one of the only two Kenyan Parks where climbing, walking and biking are allowed.

Animals seen here include Bushbucks, Dikdiks, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Klipspringers, Buffaloes, Hyraxes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, Mongooses, Baboons, Monkeys and Porcupines amongst others.

The park has historically been an important home for the rare lammergeyer vultures. Over 103 species of birds have been recorded in this park, including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles.

We will take picnic lunch with us and have it at the gorge.

Later we can embark on an optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha and proceed on a walking tour of the Crescent Island.

We arrive back in Nairobi at 18:00hrs
