4 Day Private Masai Mara National Reserve & Lake Nakuru National Park Safari

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru

Pass By: Lake Nakuru National Park Kenya
Depart Nairobi at around 8.00 AM for Nakuru town. Arrive at our Hotel in Nakuru town at midday, relax awaiting lunch and later after lunch drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for the first game drive. This afternoon we take a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park to see the diverse birdlife found here, sometimes including huge flocks of migratory pink flamingos. Lake Nakuru National Park is the largest rhino sanctuary in Kenya so keep your eyes out for endangered rhinos along the lakeshore. The park also hosts buffalo, giraffe, waterbuck and other antelopes, leopards, pythons, lions, zebras and baboons.

We return to Kivu Resort for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Nakuru - Masai Mara National Reserve

Leaving Lake Nakuru behind we set out after breakfast for what must be the highlight of our tour, the Masai Mara, a name that will always be associated with wildlife safaris.

On arrival at Masai Mara Simba Oryx Camp, we have lunch and then head out on an afternoon game drive across the open plains of this world-famous reserve. Home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Kenya, Masai Mara is Kenya’s flagship game park.
Return to the camp by 6.00 PM. We enjoy dinner at the lodge and spend the rest of the evening relaxing and re-living the highlights of the day.

Day 3: Explore Masai Mara National Reserve

Today we spend the whole day on safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve. The reserve hosts an abundance of herbivores with hungry predators as close companions. It is well known for its vast elephant and buffalo herds and the Masai giraffe, however it is the millions of Wildebeest that the Mara is probably best known. More than a million Wildebeest migrate between July and October each year, along with herds of Thompsons gazelles, zebra, topi and eland with the big cats and other predators joining the parade. The animals head north for better grazing, following a circular route each year. This Great Migration is one of the world's most impressive natural events and a truly unforgettable sight. At then end of the day we leave the reserve behind and head back to our luxurious lodge for dinner and our last overnight stay.

Day 4: Masai Mara - Nairobi

Pass By: Carnivore Kenya, Lang'ata Road, Nairobi, Kenya
Today we journey back to Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, where our Masai Mara Lodge Safari began.

We return to Nairobi by road, but you have the option of flying back to Nairobi at extra cost. Arriving in Nairobi we go out for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, known for its tasty barbecues with an impressive array of meats, including ostrich, crocodile and many more, as well as fish, vegetarian choices and salads.

After our delicious lunch you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight, brining this fantastic Budget
