Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi/Samburu National Reserve

Pass By: Samburu National Reserve, Samburu National Reserve, Samburu District, Rift Valley Province
You will be picked at 7 am. by our tour guide/driver and immediately depart for Samburu to arrive by lunch time. Check in at the camp and have lunch then relax by the pool. Afternoon game drive is at 4 pm.

Day 2: Full Day Samburu National Reserve

Stop At: Samburu National Reserve, Samburu National Reserve, Samburu District, Rift Valley Province
Spend the whole day with a game drive in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits this land. There will be picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve/Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Sweetwaters)

Stop At: Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki Private Bag, 10400 Kenya
After breakfast, depart to Sweetwaters (Ol pejeta conservation Area). Sweetwaters land, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy with its huge ranch was once a private property of the famed Saudi Arabian multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. We will then visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps. This is the only place in Kenya where this endangered and remarkably intelligent species can be found. The same sanctuary also offers refuge to over 40 species of black rhinos.

Day 4: Explore Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Stop At: Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki Private Bag, 10400 Kenya
We will have two extensive game drives exploring the exotic Sweetwaters Sanctuary. As our camp overlooks one of the best waterholes in the area, this will give us a good view of the wild life such as elephants, giraffes and myriad plains game among others.
Sweetwaters boasts of excellent game viewing experience with the highest ratio of game to area among any other parks or reserves in Kenya.

Day 5: Ol Pejeta Conservancy/Lake Naivasha

Stop At: Lake Naivasha, Naivasha Road Nakuru County Kenya
After an early morning breakfast, you leave the Laikipia highlands and drive to the former fertile "White Highlands" characterized by large commercial wheat and barley farms. At Nyahururu, formerly Thomson Falls, named after the famous Explorer Thomson, you will stop for lunch, watching water of the Ewaso Nyiro River dropping down a 100 meters. After lunch you drive via Nyandarua District to Lake Naivasha.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha/Masai Mara National Reserve

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
After breakfast we leave the Rift Valley floor and drive to the Maasai Mara en-route with picnic lunches from Sopa lodge. After a short rest we embark on our first evening game drive in the vast game reserve, which was recently classified as the latest “Wonder of the World”. The Mara is an extension of the Serengeti in Tanzania. All the “Big Five” are found here. With some luck you may see some of them today.

Day 7: Explore Masai Mara

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
Spend the whole day with a game drive in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits this beautiful savannah plains. There will be picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River.
Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village & guided nature walks

Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve/Nairobi

After our final breakfast in the Masai Mara, we do our last game drive en-route out of the Mara to Nairobi with Picnic lunches from your Lodge. Drop off at your Nairobi hotel or Airport
