Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu Game reserve

Pass By: Mount Kenya National Park 10400 Kenya
As we approach Nanyuki town; look out for sightings of Mount Kenya peaks in the far distance and particularly prominent on clear days.

Stop At: Samburu National Reserve, Nairobi Kenya
Game drive en route to the campsite looking out for rare endemic species, the Samburu Five: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and genenuk.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Equator Marker, Nyeri - Nanyuki Road, Nanyuki Town, Nanyuki Municipality 10400 Kenya
Enjoy a photo stop at the equator point crossing from South hemisphere into Northern.
Duration: 1 hour 40 minutes

Day 2: Samburu

Stop At: Samburu National Reserve, Nairobi Kenya
Full day game drive visiting Buffalo springs game reserve as well where you may enjoy a dip in the natural pool in the park.

Day 3: Samburu to Lake Baringo

Stop At: Lake Baringo, Kenya
Scenic drive towards Lake Baringo; we enjoy a 1 hour evening boat ride in search of hippo, crocodile and numerous birds with over 500 bird species available.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 4: Lake Baringo to Lake Nakuru

Stop At: Lake Bogoria, Kenya
A 30km drive towards Lake Bogoria in search of sightings of the greater and lesser flamingos; an vibrant sight.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park Kenya
Enjoy an afternoon game drive at the Lake Nakuru National Park which is a small but equally rewarding park which is home to the black and white rhinos, flamingos, baboons, antelopes, the elusive leopard and numerous bird species
Duration: 3 hours

Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve Kenya, Narok 00100 Kenya
Game drive through the park in search of the Big Five
Duration: 2 hours

Day 6: Masai Mara Game drive

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve Kenya, Narok 00100 Kenya
Full day spent enjoying the game drive. Wherever you go in the Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos also exist in great numbers.

Day 7: Masai mara to Nairobi

Stop At: Mount Suswa Conservancy, Narok Kenya
Driving back towards Nairobi; look out for sightings of Mount Suswa and Longonot from the driver as well as ascending the escarpment back towards Nairobi.

Day 8: Nairobi to Amboseli

Stop At: Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Afternoon game drive in search of elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, wildebeest, hyena, jackal, warthogs, zebra and the Maasai giraffe against the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro
Duration: 4 hours

Day 9: Amboseli Game Drive

Stop At: Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. In the interlude between game drives; visit a masai village or lodge for a swim and cold drink.

Day 10: Amboseli to Tsavo West

Stop At: Mzima Springs, Mageso Chember, Tsavo National Park West 00200 Kenya
Visit the Mzima Springs, which are favorite haunts of both the hippo and crocodile that can be seen from an underwater observation chamber.

Day 11: Tsavo West Game Drive

Stop At: Lunatic Line, Mageso chember, Tsavo National Park West 00200 Kenya
Day spent exploring the park including the nature trails. In Tsavo West birds are very common - look out for the white-bellied go-away bird, red-beaked hornbills and bateleur Eagles. There are also large populations of elephants, zebras and leopards. Look out for dung beetles rolling huge balls of elephant dung along the tracks.

Day 12: Tsavo West to East

Stop At: Tsavo East, Voi Mageso Chember, Tsavo National Park East 00200 Kenya
We visit the scenic Lugards Falls, Mudanda Rocks (attracts elephants in the drier season) and Aruba Dam as we view game if time permits. Much of the wildlife is concentrated on the Galana River, which has plentiful crocodiles and hippos though the landscape is flatter and drier. Likewise, Kudus, waterbucks and dik-diks are common along the river banks.

Day 13: Tsavo West to Mombasa
