Lake Nakuru National park Day tour from Nairobi

Lake Nakuru National Park Safari departs in the early morning from your hotel to the Escarpment to the floor of the Great Rift Valley in to Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way you have the chance to stop at a viewpoint and take pictures of the Great Rift Valley below you.

The day is spent game viewing within the park; stopping for a lunch at one of the lodges in the Park. We return to Nairobi in the late afternoon. You may get out of the vehicle at the Lake shore to get a closer look at the birds. The nearby cliffs offer sightings of baboons, birds of prey and scurrying hyraxes, as well as great views of the park.

Lake Nakuru National Park covers 180 square kilometers and is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard as well as White and Black Rhinos which were introduced to the Park a few years ago.

600 Hours: Pick-up from your residence/ Hotel

700 Hours: Depart Nairobi for Nakuru National Park

1000 Hours: Arrive at the Nakuru National park and proceed for a two hour game drive

1230 Hours: Enjoy lunch at the Sarova Lion hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge

1330 Hours: Tea coffee or Hot Chocolate and relax by the Verandah

1400 Hours: Depart for a game drive

1600 Hours: Depart for Nairobi by Road

1900 Hours: Nairobi arrival and transfer to your residence/ Hotel
