The Carnivore Restaurant Lunch Or Dinner Experience
4h30
About this activity
Itinerary
Simply an orgy for meat lovers - try the barbequed antelope, giraffe, crocodile amongst other varieties of meat which will be brought to your table on spears. This is Lunch or Dinner In the style of a Brazilian churrascaria. The Carnivore Restaurant located 6 km from the city centre, is a popular spot for meat lovers. Vegetarian food is also available in plenty!
The atmosphere combines the rustic feel of a rural setting and a medieval banquet hall. Another famous feature to set the tone of the Carnivore experience is the house cocktail The 'Dawa' (magic potion in Swahili). It is based on a famous Brazilian drink.
Whole joints of meat - leg of lamb and pork, ostrich, a rump of beef, sirloin, rack of lamb, spare ribs, sausages, chicken wings, skewered kidneys, even crocodile - are roasted on traditional Maasai swords over a huge, charcoal pit that dominates the entrance of the restaurant.
The feeding frenzy doesn’t stop until defeat is declared by the over-fed guests who signal that enough is enough by lowering the white paper flag perched atop the central tray. This is followed by dessert and coffee. Then you are transferred back to your hotel.
