From your hotel you will be taken by air conditioned car to Zhongshan Mountain National Park, a vast and picturesque area that contains the Mausoleum of Dr Sun Yat Sen who rallied people to rise up against the last imperial dynasty, the Qing. The Mausoleum is a magnificent building that sits high above the surrounding park.

Stop At: Xiaoling Tomb of Ming Dynasty, Wengzhong Road, Xuanwu District, Nanjing 210018 China
The park is also home to the tomb of Emperor Hongwu, known as the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. This is a World Cultural Heritage Site and as well as the Mausoleum, the Sacred Way with many stone statues including camels and elephants is fascinating to walk along.

After lunch, it is time for a little exercise as you arrive to the Zhonghua Gate, the magnificent southern gate of Nanjing’s city wall. This part of the wall is one of the best preserved sections in the city and provides an excellent example of how city walls and gateways were constructed to provide maximum defense against attack by enemies.

Qinhuai River, a more than 100km Long Branch of the Yangtze River.It is said that the river was diverted to the city during the reign of Emperor Qin Shi Huang from where its name comes. Cruising down Qinhua River, you can see many places of interest and enjoy the traditional culture of Nanjing. If time permits, you can pay for a cruise tour by your own.
