Herculaneum and Pompeii with Guide

Your day will start driving to Pompeii (30mins from Naples). The visit of Pompeii is unique, you can see how Romans used to spend their days and used to have fun. It will be like a journey back to the past of almost 2000 years ago. An Archaeological Guide (included in the price for both sites) in will take with you in an amazing journey along the main street of commerce, visiting the pleasure domes and ending with Forum and its markets. After the visit of Pompeii our drivers will glad (if you like) to complimentary drive you to an authentic Italian restaurant for lunch or in a wine farm to have a taesting of Lacryma Christi wine produced on the Vesuvius area.

After lunch you can continue the tour and drive to Herculaneum (approx 15min). Visit both site means have a full immersion in roman time.

Together with Pompeii, Herculaneum was covered by the 79AD eraption of the Vesuvius but while Pompeii was buried under a layer of ash and lapilli, Herculaneum was covered by a mass of mud and volcanic debris. Thanks to that mud (lava) perishable materials like wood or remants of food are now better preserved.

Once finished the visit of Herculaneum tour ends driving back to your drop-off location.
