About this activity
Your Naples Street Food experience starts in Piazza Dante, where you will meet your guide and set off on your walking tour, making your way first to Piazza Bellini, where the statue of the opera composer Vincenzo Bellini is overlooking the ruins of Naples ancient Greek walls.

Once you cross the square, you will take Via dei Tribunali, the ancient Greek “upper decumanus” where you will find the best pizza and street food in the world.

Food stop no. 1 will be a perfect start: Neapolitan “taralli”, salty rings biscuits with pepper and almonds… you will never forget the taste!

Via dei Tribunali is 100% Naples: welcoming, lively, very chaotic!

Food stop no. 2 is delicious “pizza fritta” (fried pizza),“pizza a portafoglio” (pizza folded like a wallet) and fried food (zeppole, crocché, arancino, frittatina di pasta). So cheap and tasty!

With your stomach full and your mouth happy, you are ready to walk along the famous Via San Gregorio Armeno, a narrow street known as the undisputed world capital of the Nativity and home to the artisans and merchants who specialize in the art and the craft of the Neapolitan Presepe.

Your guide will then lead you to Via San Biagio dei Librai, better known as “Spaccanapoli”, a narrow street which cuts through the heart of the city’s historical center, essentially splitting Naples in two (hence the name). A few steps further, the street opens onto Piazzetta Nilo, the little square named after the statue of the River Nile, dating from the Hellenistic period, which was found on this site and set on a pedestal in the adjoining Largo Corpo di Napoli.

Your Naples culinary adventure ends in Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, dominated by the impressive obelisk honouring Saint Domenico for stamping out the plague epidemic of 1656. San Domenico Maggiore Church is definitely worth a visit.

Food stop no. 3 is a grand finale: sfogliatella pastry, Babà (sponge cake soaked in rum), and a delicious Neapolitan expresso. Pastry shops in Naples are sweet paradises!
