Start your tour in the morning by the monumental Neptune’s Fountain and in a short space of time you will be at Castel Nuovo or the ‘Maschio Angioino’, one of the symbols of Naples, immediately setting the tone for the tour, by displaying Naples’ royal character.

Your walk continues by the San Carlo Theatre, the oldest in Europe, and the iconic Umberto I shopping-gallery, an Art Deco masterpiece of iron and glass. We’ll take a look at the monumental Piazza del Plebiscito, before having a break to enjoy the best sfogliatella, a local pastry with delicious orange flavored ricotta cream, in town and a cup of coffee.

We then catch our first glimpse of the sea, and walk along the pleasant lungomare promenade, along the sea, to reach the last highlight of the tour, Castel Dell’Ovo. This medieval castle provides us with amazing views over the Bay of Naples, Mt. Vesuvius and the famous islands of Capri and Ischia.

You’ll then have a break to enjoy the city on your own before meeting again in the afternoon for a guided tour of the magnificent Archaelogical Museum in Naples, considered one of the most important museums in the world. The Farnese collection coming from Rome itself displays an impressive range of marbles and Roman statues, such as the famous Hercules and the Farnese Bull, the largest statue recovered from antiquity. The mosaics are the another major highlight: recovered from Pompeii and the neighbouring towns, they show the extraordinary skills that the Romans developed with this technique.

We have some free time to relax before we meet again in the evening for the third and last part of the tour, which will see the culinary delights of Naples as protagonist. Sample some of the most delectable flavors and sought-after street food that Italy has to offer at authentic, hand-picked vendors that will allow you to mingle with the Neapolitans themselves.

All along your evening stroll, your guide will fill you with the urban legends and history that make Naples come to life, as you dine on delectable examples of the city’s famed recipes.

Pass from Piazza del Gesù, with the splendid Spanish-style Baroque Church of Gesù Nuovo and incredibly sculpted monument dedicated to the Holy Virgin. Visit the ancient heart of the city along Spaccanapoli, one of its oldest streets, dividing it in half. See San Gregorio Armeno, famous for its Christmas market and where the most beautiful Nativity scene figures you have ever seen are sold year-round by local artisans.

You’ll also pass the Naples Cathedral, where every year on September 19th the blood of its patron saint, San Gennaro, miraculously reliquefies in a procession that animates the entire city.
