This trip provided an insight into the life of the typical Bahamian resident. We went places and saw areas of the city and countryside that you are just not going to see if you take organized tours from the cruise lines that go to the tourist trap sites like Atlantis etc. We went down the back alleys to visit a rum cake maker, a chocolate factory where we got a tour and tasting of the wares, a trip to an old fort, a tour around the neighbourhood and a trip to a small private beach for snorkelling.... minimal ability to change clothing here... had to use a washroom. The beach was not the greatest and the rocks were close to the surface, but there were fish to see. We were not provided with any food on the trip. Our transportation during this trip comprised of a small van/ taxi that was desperately in need of some front end and brake work... somewhat nerve racking on the bumpy secondary roads we were on... but the air conditioning worked well. Overall, this trip is not for those seeking a polished trip to tourist areas, but is ideal for those wishing to experience a little bit on how the common folk live. Be prepared for small vendor stalls where you get called over to check out the same goods that the next vendor has, and folks looking for tips. These folks really do live from tourist money

Such an amazing tour!!! The best excursion my fiancee and I did on our recent cruise. They were waiting right outside the port with a sign so it was very easy to find. Then Tyrone Wilson gave us some amazing Bahamas rum to start us off on our tour. Our tour guide was Berty, she was awesome! Very personable and knowledgeable about the island, she made a great tour even better. From the rum cake to the chocolate factory to the beach that was gorgeous and all ours, this tour well worth it. I highly recommend it if your in Nassau for a day or a week, Tyrone Wilson's is where it's at!

Fun and exciting tour, Birdie was our tour guide which she was very kind and easy to talk with. The water was to cold for us to go snorkeling however we enjoyed the beach time. There were five of us and the only thing I would suggest is that she talk a little louder for the people in the back of the vehicle to hear what she says as she tours around the areas. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you!

This was a wonderful tour. The guide was wonderful and had many interesting stories to tell about Nassau. The beach she took us to was uncrowded and very beautiful. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour! Tyrone Wilson was very friendly and professional. Randy our driver was funny and knowledgeable. His driving will scare you a little, but we felt it added to the adventure. : The Rum Cake Factory had delicious cakes! The Graycliff Chocolate factory was alright. But our favorite was the pirate cave and the Nirvanna Love Beach! The little restaurant there had wonderful food!! Everyone was friendly and helpful and the beach was lovely! Unfortunately for us, it was too cold when we went so we chose not snorkel, but the reef comes right up to the beach area and you can walk and see all kinds of fish that are caught in the low water right there on land. I can only imagine the different types of fish we would have seen had we went into the water. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is planning on visiting Nassau!!! And ask for Randy as your driver....You won't regret it!! :
