Pickup from hotel/airport or anywhere in Delhi at 2:30am- it’s your choice and drive to Agra. Get ready for an extremely early takeoff time for this 12-hour private tour to Agra from Delhi. Sit back in your private vehicle and relax. The drive from Delhi to Agra takes 3 hours approx.

WITNESS LIVE DEMONSTRATION OF THE 350 YEAR OLD TRADITION OF MARBLE INLAY WORK (MOSAIC): Visit a workshop where this beautiful art form is being practiced even today. The craftsmen making the exquisite table tops, boxes, platters and figures are the descendants of the craftsmen brought to Agra by Shah Jahan. The art being crafted use semi-precious stones embedded into white, black or green marble to form floral and geometric designs very similar to the Taj Mahal. Next up is the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Agra Fort. Admire the red sandstone the fort’s made out of as your guide fills you in on the history of the Mughal Dynasty’s former imperial residence.

WITNESS LIVE DEMONSTRATION OF TRADITIONAL PERSIAN HAND KNOTTED CARPET: During Mughal Kingdom weavers brought to Agra from Persia to weave rugs for the king and family. These artist when meet local people and get friendly so they share the weaving of rugs to locals as well and that is how this art start in Agra. WITNESS LIVE DEMONSTRATION OF ZARDOSI (TAPESTRIES) ALONG WITH STONE JEWELLRY: Zardosi derives its name from two Persian terms, of “Zar” meaning gold and “Dozi” meaning embroidery. It was done by using gold and silver threads with precious stones during Mughal Period to decorate dresses of Royal Family. Now-a-days, it done by suing metallic threads with semi-precious stones to make unique wall hangings, purses, bags, jewelry boxes & much more.
