About this activity
Day 1: (B,L)
Morning pickup at 9am. Admire the inscriptions of the Qutub Minar and the beautiful Jama Masjid mosque. Visit the famous Humayun's Tomb and the beautiful Lotus Temple, and drive past the Rashtrapati Bhavan on your way to India's national monument, India Gate. Leave Delhi in the evening aboard an evening flight to Varanasi.
Day 2: (B,L)
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of the sacred city. Varanasi, religious capital of Hinduism ,filled with beautiful mosques and temples, such as the stunning Kashi Vishwanath temple and the grand Gyanvapi Mosque. Varanasi also holds the Banaras Hindu University, Asia'slargest university and a center of learning and civilization for over 3,000 years. In the evening, attend the Aarti at the Ghat against the backdrop of the setting sun.
Day 3: (B,L)
Early morning, take a boat ride down the sacred Ganges river to see the sunrise over the cremation Ghats and observe the sacred rituals of the faithful on the banks of the river. Return for a walk through the cobblestone streets along the banks of the Ganges river.Later on, you will visit Sarnath, the sacred place for Jains and the birthplace of Parsvanath. In the evening, board the overnight train to Agra.
Day 4: (B,L)
Upon arrival in Agra, check into your hotel. After rest and relaxation, ride to the massive Agra Fort. The elegant buildings inside reflect an interesting synthesis of Hindu and central Asian architectural styles, built by Emperor Akbar. After Agra Fort, you will move to Baby Taj and finish at Mehtab bagh, the last of eleven Mughal-built gardens along the Yamuna River.
Day 5: (B,L)
Your guide will meet you at your hotel by 6am to take you for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal to witness the magical effects caused by the reflections of the changing colors of the rising sun on this brilliant white marble building. Later, return back to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you will drive to Jaipur, stopping at the deserted capital city of Fatehpur Sikri, which served as the capital of the Mughal Empire for a time in the 1500s. From here, continue on to Jaipur and check into your hotel. Later in evening you will take a local market tour.
Day 6: (B,L)
In the morning, visit Amber Fort . Visit the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of the Winds, and later in the afternoon, you will take a tour of the City Palace and observatory. See also the Solar Observatory.
Day 7: (B,L)
After breakfast, travel to back to Delhi. Once there, the day is at your leisure. A car and driver would be available to achieve your shopping needs. Later, transfer to the airport to board your onward flight.
