Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi :

Pass By: Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), New Delhi, Delhi 110037, India
We meet you here on arrival and transfer you to the Hotel. If already in India then kindly let us know your address and we shall pick you up from there.

No meals included on this day.
Accommodation included: Hotel Hayat Regency, Hotel Lalit, Hotel Park or similar.

Day 2: Delhi - Chandigarh - Manali : by Flight / by Car

Pass By: New Delhi Railway Station Ajmeri Gate, Kamla Market, Ajmeri Gate, New Delhi, Delhi 110002, India
We depart from the Hotel at 6.15 to board the train to Amritsar. new Delhi Railway Station is a very crowded area. We will hire registered porters/coolies to carry our luggage to the train. Kindly take care of your belongings such as purse, wallet, mobile phones, and jewelry


Pass By: Chandigarh Railway Station ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ, Daria, Chandigarh, 160102, India
On the train, breakfast is served. The train arrives at 11.05 pm. From here we board the cars and drive to Manali.

Today is a long day. It is nearly 8 hours journey from Chandigarh to Manali. We shall arrive by the evening.

Meals included:
• Breakfast: Breakfast is served on board. We will pick up a packed breakfast from the hotel.
• Lunch: Lunch on the way.
• Dinner: At the hotel in Manali.
Accommodation included: Hotel Banon Resort or similar.

Day 3: Manali

Stop At: Hidimba Devi Temple, Hadimba Temple Road, Manali, Manali Tehsil 175131 India
Popularly known as Dhungari temple this is the finest example of hill architecture. This temple is dedicated to demon Goddess Hidimba who married one of the Pandawa brothers while they were in this area during their exile.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery, Naggar, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh 175130, India
Nicholas Roerich was a Russian painter, artist, and philosopher who arrived in this area in the early years of twentieth-century and married a local woman. His love for the Himalaya was the way of his life. Most of his work in original is displayeed in the house there he lived. Now the house is looked after y the Rssian Art Society and is converted into an art gallery.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Naggar Castle, Naggar, Manali Tehsil India
This was the seat of power in the old times. The Raja of Kullu ruled the area from here. Now the building is with the government and is a Heritage Hotel with a lovely restaurant. We shall stop here for lunch.
Duration: 2 hours

• Lunch: In the hotel in Amritsar.
• Dinner: In the Hotel.

Day 4: Manali - Kaylong : 110 km 5 to 6 hours.

Pass By: Rohtang Pass, Himalayan Ranges India
Today we are going to cross over the first highest pass of this journey – Rohtang Pass (3900 m). Over the pass, we enter Lahaul Valley and drive along the river Chandra. The road is rugged and rough with some of its stretches tarred. On the way, we shall visit the temple of Raja Ghepan at Sisu. Just after that is Tandi where river Chandra is joined by River Bhaga and further on it become Chenab.


Stop At: Lahaul Valley, Near Indo-Tibetan Border, Keylong 175132 India
Keylong is the headquarter of Lahaul Valley. In the evening, we shall visit Khardong Monastery known for making Thangka paintings.

Duration: 2 days

Meals included:
• Breakfast: At the Hotel in Manali before we start.
• Lunch: On the way at some roadside dhaba.
• Dinner: At the Guest House in Keylong
Accommodation included: Keylong Sarai or Similar. There are only simple guesthouses here so do not expect silky comforts.

Day 5: Keylong

Stop At: Trilokinath Temple, Udaipur India
Today we shall drive to Pattan Valley known for growing hops, the only place in India. Visit Trilokinath temple where Hindus and Buddhists worship together. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is set up in the middle of the mountains.

We drive to 45 km to this place and after spending some time here we proceed to Udaipur which is on 30 minutes drive.

Stop At: Mrikula Temple Udaipur, Tandi-Kishtwar Rd, Jahalma, Udaipur, Himachal Pradesh 175142, India
The temple of Mrikula Devi in Udaipur is said to have been built by Pandawas. The woodcarving inside the tiny structure is just amazing.
Duration: 20 minutes

Meals included:
• Breakfast: At the hotel / Guesthouse in Keylong.
• Lunch: At a small and simple restaurant at Udaipur.
• Dinner: At the hotel in Keylong.
Accommodation included: Hotel / Guest house

Day 6: Keylong - Sarchu : 108 km / 5 hours.

Stop At: Stingri Helipad, Leh Manali Hwy, Himachal Pradesh 175132, India
There is a place called Darcha on the way. It is not coming on the maps. We shall stop here for a cup of tea and then continue for your journey.
Duration: 30 minutes

Pass By: Baralach La, Himachal Pradesh 175132, India
Drive over the second highest pass on the way (4850 m). The view of snowcapped Himalayan peaks from the pass is just astounding.

Stop At: Sarchu, Himachal Pradesh 175132, India
Overnight stay at Camp at Sarchu with attached facilities. Sarchu is the first highest place where we are going to sleep above the tree line. Some of you might suffer from lack of oxygen so used the oxygen cylinders that we carry.

Duration: 15 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast: At the Hotel in Keylong.
• Lunch: On the way. After Baralacha La at Bharatnagar.
• Dinner: At Sarchu.
Accommodation included: Camp at Sarchu. These are fix tents with attached facilities. Sarchu is a plateau surrounded by high peaks.

Day 7: Sarchu - Tsomoriri : 235 km / 8 hours.

Stop At: Tsomoriri Lake View Point, Leh, Jammu and Kashmir 194404
There are a few places which cannot be found on the Map of this site. One of them Lachungla. This pass is accessible through 22 hairpin bends.

Second is Pang where we will stop for tea. After Paang, we climb up to More Plain. This is a 45 km long plateau that once upon a time used to e a lake. This is a sinking zone of Himalaya and at many places, the earth feels like a ditch.

We will arrive at Tomoriri Lake in the evening. On arrival check into the Camp. You may not find the mobile signal here for long hours. Also, electricity is provided only through the generators from 7 PM to 10 PM.

Meals included:
• Breakfast: At the Camp at Sarchu.
• Lunch: Packed lunch shall be carried. We can stop at some tented shops in this cold desert to have our lunch.
• Dinner: At Campsite in Tsomoriri
Accommodation included: Fixed Camps with attached facilities.

Day 8: Tsomoriri : A day to relax or just roam around the lake Tsomorisi. This lake is like a pearl in the desert.

Stop At: Tsomoriri Lake View Point, Leh, Jammu and Kashmir 194404
Roam around the lake or just relax in your camp.
Duration: 1 day

Meals included:
• Breakfast: At the Camp.
• Lunch: At the Camp.
• Dinner: At the Camp.

Day 9: Tsomoriri - Leh : 220 km / 6 to 7 hours.

Stop At: Chumathang Hot Spring, Chumathang 194201 India
We start from Tsomoriri after breakfast for Leh. On the way we will have a break at this place called Chumathang is know for its hot springs, Spend sometime here and then continue.
Duration: 20 minutes

Meals included:
• Breakfast: At the Camp.
• Lunch: Packed Lunch.
• Dinner: At the Hotel in Leh or We may go out for dinner.
Accommodation included: Hotel Spic N Span, Hotel Oriental or Similar.

Day 10: Leh- Nubra : 120 km / 4 hours

Stop At: Khardungla Pass, Khardung La Rd, Leh, Jammu and Kashmir 194101
This is the highest motorable road in the world at the elevation of 5400 meters. You may feel some discomfort here due to its elevation. It is suggested to drink a lot of water. Do not smoke or drink alchohol and take deep breath.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Nubra Valley, India
Nubra is one of the most beautiful valleys of Ladakh region. based at the bottom of Siachin Glacier that is considered as the highest battlefield in the world, this valley has been on the Silk Route from Central Asia to Tibet. It is known for its beautiful landscape and some age-old Buddhist Monasteries.
