About this activity
Join this special tour to celebrate the festival of colours or also known as the “festival of love.” The festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest.
Holi celebrations start on the night before Holi with a Holika Dahan where people gather, perform religious rituals in front of the bonfire, and pray that their internal evil be destroyed the way Holika, the sister of the demon king Hiranyakashipu, was killed in the fire. The next morning is celebrated as Rangwali Holi – a free-for-all festival of colours, where people smear each other with colours and drench each other.
Start your journey with the hotel pick-up where you will be picked from your mentioned hotel and reach to the party destination. Get greeted by your host and guide and meet your group before the celebration begins.
Begin your celebration with the Holi special drink commonly known as “Bhang” in India. Let your host/guide explain you in brief for Holi celebration agenda.
Play with the herbal natural different coloured powder by applying to your friends and group and wishing each other with Holi Greetings.
Dance to the music of special Holi songs from the Bollywood. Enjoy traditional sweets and snacks & drinks while you dance to the music and play with the colours.
Later on, Enjoy a special Indian Lunch made especially to enhance your Holi celebration.
Post Lunch; celebrate your festival a little more. At the end of the tour, you shall be dropped off back to the hotel.
