Delhi being a house to infinite tourists places and definitely each of them warrant your attention. But no one can visit all of the monument neither taste all the cuisines that capital has to offer to its visitors. If you’re in the city for good 24 hours, you’ve to be choosy while making your day plan.

Skip some not so important and give priority to some which are more interesting and have something unique and knowledgeable. Prioritise your time in favour of top attractions such as some oldest eateries to must-see historical landmarks.

Lets’ enjoy the moments and discover some facts about Mughal Emperor with this interactive walk through the bylanes of old Delhi and become a spectator to some hidden and unhidden gems of Old Delhi. The meeting point of the walk will be Chandni chowk metro station on yellow line. You will start feeling like an emperor as soon as you hit the chandni chowk road.

We will start our walk with a more than 110 years double storey old building “Mahavir jain Bhawan”. This bhavan (building) is the house of very old library on the first floor. After this we have another building which house library having rare collection of three thousand hindi and urdu book. Their handwritten manuscripts are still its pride. Apart from this, you will be passing by a Bhai Mati Das Chowk or popularly known as Fuvvara chowk “Fountain square” where exists Bhai Mati Das Museum of paintings related to Sikhism. Later we will visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib which marks the site where Guru Teg Bahadur Was beheaded by Aurangzeb in 1675.

After this long trail now it’s time to taste some snacks. Let’s head towards The Jalebi wala for some Jalebis (one of the best delicacies of Delhi prepared with flour dipped into sugar paster) and Samosas (a fried most popular snack in India prepared with Flour with potato filling).

After eating we again will start walking towards Lal Mandir which dates back to Mughal times. This temple was built in 1834 by Jain religion and is one of the most visited place by foreigners as well as Delhiites, once you enter into temple premises you will feel that history is in the air. Some stories related to Red Fort and lal mandir will also be narrated to make you feel like a live spectator of Mughal times.

After spending some religious time, now we will take the tuk tuk and get back to our next destination “Town Hall” now the office of Municipal Commissioner of Delhi but the walk leader will tell you what this place used to be after being built in 1864. While passing by Chandni chowk Market, which was established in Mughal times and has been recognised as the best market of India. Now you will be headed for “Ghalib ki Haveli” (The mansion of Renowned poet Ghalib). Ghalib was as one of the most famous poet of Mughal times.

Now It’s time to visit our last two sites including Fatehpuri masjid and spice market. Fatehpuri masjid is located on the either end of Chandni chowk road. This mosque was built in 1650 by Shahjahan and named after one of his wives Fatehpuri Begum. After this we will visit The biggest spice market of India where you can shop rare spices of India at impressively chip rates.

It’s time to get back to your final destination from where you started the journey and that is Chandni chowk Metro Station (location can be modified according to requirements).

During this walk, we will also get glimpse of some other Haveli (Old Mansions) and several historical points in Delhi which will take you to the earlier era.
