Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Delhi: You land at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

Stop At: Rama Road Industrial Area 70B/35A, 3rd Floor,, New Delhi 110015 India
This is the day of your arrival in India. We shall meet you at the airport to drive you to your hotel in Delhi for an overnight stay. The stay at this place is only fora day.

Day 2: Delhi - Shimla : Enjoy the Toy Train today to reach the Himalayan hill station.

Pass By: Kalka railway station, Railway Colony, Kalka, Haryana 133302, India
Today we transfer you from the hotel to New Delhi Railway Station to board Shatabadi Express. The train departs at 7.40 am and arrives at Kalka at 11.45 am. Here we move to the Toy Train to enjoy the journey to the fairyland. This is one of the most beautiful mountain railway tracks in the world. Completely built by the Scottish engineers this is the marvel example of the European architecture of nineteenth century.

We shall put the luggage in the car that runs parallel to the Toy Train. Just in case you wish to stop traveling by train and move to the car, you can do that.

On arrival at Shimla, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Day 3: Shimla

Stop At: Shimla Heritage Walk, Shimla Heritage Zone, Shimla India
Shimla is a walker's paradise and the best way to know about this lovely colonial hill station is to see it on foot.

After breakfast, we are driven to the Auckland House School from where we start the walk. A short but steep climb of about 200 meters brings us to Lakkar Bazaar and then to the Ridge. This is the starting point of our Heritage Walk. We shall walk through the Heritage Zone of Shimla with a local historian and learn about its origin, past and its present.

Stop At: Gaiety Heritage Cultural Complex, The Mall, Shimla 171001 India
One of the few Gaities left in the world this place is the hub of all the cultural activities in Shimla.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Scandal Point, Mall Road Near Railway Building, Shimla India
The most happening place in the town.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: The Mall, Shimla India
Centre of the town where most of shops, offices, and restaurants are located.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: The Oberoi Cecil, Shimla, Chaura Maidan Rd, Nabha, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh 171004, India
A historic place where Mr. Oberoi, the father of the hospitality industry, worked as a clerk and rose to the level of a number one hotelier.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Indian Institute of Advanced Study, H P University Road, Shimla 171005 India
Originally a Viceregal Lodge this was the seat of the Imperial Government when Shimla was the Summer Capital of British India during the Raj.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 4: Shimla - Spine line Trail. This is a forest walk with great views of Himalayan ranges, villages, and amazing landscape.

Stop At: Craignano, Shimla-Naldhera Road, Mashobra India
We start our walk from here and follow the forested trail descending to the valley. The trail is through the oak and cedar forest that brings you first to village Mashobra and then to village Sipur. From here we follow the forested trail for another three kilometers to reach village Sitapur where the driver waits for us.

Stop At: Club Mahindra Mashobra Resort in Himachal Pradesh, Pines Gables, Mashobra, Himachal Pradesh 171007, India
After the walk, we shall drive to this place to have lunch.
Duration: 1 hour

Day 5: Hike to Shali Tibba: We will drive to village Khatnol for 2 hours to climb the peak. It is 7 km one side. Return by eve.

Stop At: Club Mahindra Mashobra Resort in Himachal Pradesh, Pines Gables, Mashobra, Himachal Pradesh 171007, India
A 2 hours drive brings us to the village Khatnol. From here a narrow path winds up to the hilltop of Shali Tibba. This seven kilometers uphill trail is all through the cedar forest and offers amazing views of the southern slopes of the Himalayan landscape.

The top of the peak is crowned by the temple of Goddess Bhima Kali. From the courtyard of the temple, a flight of nearly 100 stairs leads you to the top of the hill. The view of Himalayan ranges from the top of the peak is just astounding, provided the day is clear. It offers a range of more than 1000 kilometers starting from Chamba hills from the east till the Nepal Himalayan ranges to the west.

Spend some time there and then return same way.

Day 6: A Day in a Himalayan Village: Visit a local family where the host is a naturalist. Walk with him and see the village.

Stop At: Dhami House Village Dhami, Dhami, Himachal Pradesh 171103, India
Kunwar Dushyant Singh and his wife Kamlesh are the perfect hosts. Dushyant is a descendant of the Royal family of Dhami and is a naturalist by profession. We visit his house where tea is served on arrival and then we proceed for a walk with Kunwar Dushyant Singh. A four-kilometer walk through the village and a mountain trail make you knowledgable about the local life, flora & fauna and the Himalayan ecology and its formation.

Return by the lunch-time to have hot lunch cooked by Mrs. Kamlesh Singh. The mouth-watering food is tempting.

Day 7: Shimla - Delhi : Drive to Chandigarh to catch flight to Delhi. From there transfer to International airport.

Today we drive to Kalka to board Shatabadi Express train to Delhi. On arrival transfer to the International airport to board your flight to your next destination.
