About this activity
You will be picked up in front of your hotel by a 15-passenger van. Please be ready outside as the the driver will arrive within 5 to 15 minutes of your scheduled time. The tour aims to be as personable and pleasurable as possible so there is usually only eight to 10 people in the van. This tour will always run, rain or shine, no matter the number of people that booked the tour. Traveling via the tour van allows you to be able to see so much more of the city since many other larger vehicles are not allowed to go deep into the French Quarter, the 9th Ward, or the Garden District. Operating with smaller groups and smaller vehicles allows for more interaction. The environment here will allow you to sit back, relax, and feel comfortable. Please ask as many questions as you want.
Some of the places you'll see include French Quarter, Frenchmen Street, Marigny Neighborhood, 9th Ward, Musician's Village, Treme Neighborhood, Esplanade Avenue, Bayou Saint John, City Park, Lake Pontchartrain, 17th Street Canal, Historic Above Ground Cemetery, Carrollton Avenue, Oldest Streetcar in the World, Saint Charles Avenue, Tulane and Loyola Universities, Garden District, Famous Homes, Magazine Street, National WWII Museum, and the Warehouse and Arts District. The tour concludes as you enter the Central Business District.
If you would prefer to be dropped off somewhere in the French Quarter, you can request to do so. Otherwise, you will be brought back to your hotel.

informative and fun even in the teeming rain and thunder, highly recommend, great driver guide comfortable vehicle
Very informative tour. Learned a lot about New Orleans and the damage done by Katrina. My family was happy with the information provided.
Enjoyed seeing some unique parts of New Orleans that we had not seen before. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and provided a lot of interesting facts and information. Especially enjoyed seeing and hearing about the Katrina recovery. Unfortunately, the van we rode in was not comfortable for the tour. All of us on the tour thought it was a mini bus van for 15 people but it was a cargo van which was difficult to get in and out of and did not have the longer windows which makes it much easier to see various points of interest. Wish the transportation had been different. We greatly appreciated being picked up and dropped off at our hotel.
Very nice tour but maybe include more stops. The tour guide/driver was very informative. Covered a lot of area
Our guide Wanda picked us up at our hotel just after 10. She was wonderful and had a wealth of info to share with us. There was a total of 9 on our tour and it really helped that Wanda had one of those headset microphones so we wouldn't miss a thing she was saying. Loved the stop in city park as well as the beautiful homes in the garden district. Drove past some of the areas affected by Hurr. Katrina and saw many of the markers showing just how high those water levels were. We even took some of Wanda's dining recommendations. New orleans cookery is outstanding! Such an informative tour that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a good look at this great city.
Our guide was amazing
This was a great tour of New Orleans! We booked it the evening before and the Viator staff were awesome in helping this happen! We selected this tour because it advertised small groups. Ozzy our tour guide picked us up at our hotel right on time and we were the only people on the tour!! This was an additional bonus! Ozzy was knowledgeable about his city and gave us a great perspective of the city, what happened during Katrina and all of the wonderful things that have happened since. It was a wonderful tour and I highly recommend it! It was 3 hours well spent!!! The van was clean and audio was clear and easily understood. Again...Ozzy was a great tour guide and I highly recommend this tour!
