Your journey begins as we stroll through the French Quarter’s atmospheric streets by foot alongside your private guide as you hear about the multicultural heritage of the Vieux Carre, and spot the distinctive architectural styles that tell the city’s stories. Learn about the slaves that found community in New Orleans, feel its pulse, and experience today’s people, culture, and life.
We’ll discuss the history of the settlements, from the Native Americans to the French, Spanish, and eventually, the Americans. We walk in a locals’ section of town first and talk about the amazing architecture along the way, as well as important landmarks.

Stop At: RTA - Streetcars, Canal Street, New Orleans, LA
You'll travel from the French Quarter to the Garden District by riding the St. Charles Streetcar, the oldest continuously operating Streetcar line in the world. Together we make our way through the Central business District, the Warehouse District, to Lafayette Cemetery#1 and the beautiful Garden District. (Note: In the event that the Streetcar is not operating, operator supports public transportation in full, and will refer to bus transportation if needed. This rarely happens)

Throughout our stroll, under the large magnolias, we introduce you to some amazing people buried in this historic cemetery and share with you some of New Orleans’ most treasured burial customs. (Note: In the event that the cemetery is closed due to a funeral or other reasons beyond our control, the cemetery portion of the tour is done outside of the gate. This rarely happens.)
