Traveled from Philly to NYC for the day. The bus was a great value and had many traveling time opening a for the day. It was convenient and comfortable. Will do it again in the future.

We love the Big Bus! We use it in every new city, where available. The guides give great commentary. The routes are the most convenient. Our biggest complaint was the lack of air conditioning on the busses. It was in the 90's in New York City! Definitely needed it. We took 4 different busses. Mark, who took us on the purple line to Brooklyn was great. Being from Brooklyn he passed a lot of information. We then took the Red line back to time square. The guide was very knowledgeable, but did have a superiority attitude. We were stopped at a red light and the sun was beating down so my brother-in-law decided to go downstairs and he was chastised repeatedly over the PA system for moving while the bus was in motion. Alas, the bus was NOT in motion when he went down the stairs. We understand the safety issue, but the berating was totally uncalled for....especially over the PA system.

Enjoyed the time. Easy to get on and off. Buses were always not very far apart to get on. We only got to take the downtown loop but it was very nice. Guide on final loop was very informative and easy to understand. Maybe not possible but would have liked to have a stop at the Staten Island Ferry dock. Plan to do uptown next time.

Not enough buses, bottom level of most buses has no Air Conditioning. Uptown tour was a flop because the Harlem Buses stopped at 3:00 pm didn't get to see Harlem. Not enough good Tour Guides.

We enjoyed the ability to view many parts of NYC with a commentary on the sites. It's an easy way to visit several difference areas of NYC.

The busiest do not arrive at least every half hour as advertised. We waited 1 and 1)2 hour for a blue lines bus. Tour guide said "dunk" more than anything else and between the occasional sentences, and sometimes words, he played terrible "on " hold" type music. Tried the evening tour and 15 min. Into the tour, it started to rain. Now they cannot control the weather but they can control what happens on the tour when it rains:. Our tour guide stopped telling us what we were seeing and they put in a tape which did not sinc with where we were and what was around us. Terrible! I DO NOT recommend wasting you money on Big Bus!

We always start off any first visit with an open top bus tour. This was comprehensive and so convenient. We took the option for a night time tour and were not disappointed. Would strongly reccommend!!

Receipt says night tour starts from 7-9 pm every 30 mins. Arrived at 8:03 pm. Was told that was the last bus. The night tour was the only reason I spent the money for the deluxe pkg.

Tickets were advertised to be used at any bus’ hop on/off stop but I was sent a few blocks away to find a rep to scan my voucher and print the tickets. He couldn’t do so and I was sent to their main office on TS. I lost an hour running around NYC to get the tickets finally printed. Alive guide was a nice feature but he was present only on the rooftop level. Passengers downstairs couldn’t hear the announcement of the following stop#. We had no idea that if we hop on a Blue line/route Big Bus, we won’t get back to the initial stop. Suddenly, Blue Line/route (Uptown) switched to Red Line (Downtown) and we ended up walking almost an hour to return to the desired stop. I guess you can benefit from the Big Bus Tour if you have only a day and want to “see” most of NYC through a bus’ window. Still $60-100 per person could be better spent on Uber rides and lobster rolls.

The Big Bus Hop-on Hop-off tour was a great way to get around the city. The tour guides were awesome and gave us plenty of tips for enjoying the city.

Purchased Big Bus tickets on Viator but should have purchased the City Sightseeing tours instead. The buses ran inconsistently and some buses, which were not full, did not stop to pick up people. The downstairs had no a/c so only the upstairs was tolerable. The upstairs was always packed and a row of seats was always lost for the narrarator. The narrators were very inconsistent. They were either very good and knowledgable or never talked except to beg for tips. At each stop they had representatives who apologized for bus drivers not stopping, the long waits this caused and for then general disorganization. We constantly saw the City Sightseeing buses more prominantely, about a 2 or 3 to 1 ratio to Big Bus, and though they shared some stops, overall City seemed to have more convenient stops. For hop on hop off go be cautious if you choose Big Bus.
