About this activity
See World One, Financial District, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Brooklyn Bridge) whilst enjoying a complimentary beer, wine or Champagne from the bar.

Experience a beautiful New York City sunset and the illuminated cityscape during a comfortable and unique NYC Harbor sunset cruise through the Hudson and East Rivers. Sit back and enjoy the gorgeous 360-degree view of the island from the open decks or the glassed-in back-deck observatory of these Gatsby-esque 1920's style yachts. On this 1.75-hour cruise, take in picturesque views from our glassed-in observatory.

A beautiful full bar and specialty NY State wines by the bottle available for purchase aboard the Yacht Manhattan or Manhattan II. (One complimentary drink is included.)

We will travel south from Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River, passing the West Village and Tribeca portion of Hudson River Park. She then rounds Battery Park, heading up the East River to travel under the Brooklyn, Williamsburg, and Manhattan Bridges. We then make a wide pass through the New York City Harbor to grab a spectacular view of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Financial District and the complete NYC skyline before heading north on the Hudson River to return to Chelsea Piers.

1. Gin Rickey for May: This chill cocktail is made up of gin, lime juice, and seltzer. But in its earliest incarnation, the Rickey favored bourbon over gin.

2. Ward Eight for June: With its mix of rye whiskey, lemon juice, orange juice, and grenadine, this drink rose in popularity during prohibition because all the fruit flavors helped mask that harsh whiskey's bite.

3. Mary Pitchford for July: Shaking up white rum, pineapple juice, and grenadine makes this fruity cocktail, which is named after the 1920s movie star who co-founded United Artists with D.W. Griffith, Charlie Chaplin, and her husband Douglas Fairbanks. Pickford is said to have favored this cocktail created for her on a trip to Cuba, where rum was far easier to come by than it was stateside.

4. Marithyme for August: Putting a spin on Nautically themed cocktails this mix of Gin, Elderflower liquor, a squeeze of fresh lemon, seltzer and a sprig of lime is sure to quench your thirst. Perfect for sunset sipping!

5. Evening at sea, for September: Sparkling wine and Jamaican rum make for a compelling riff on the Negroni. Plus, its a quick finish once its batched. Elegant and warming yet lighter than a Negroni.

(One complimentary drink is included: you can pick the specialty drink, a beer, a glass of wine, or glass of Champagne. Hard liquor drinks not complimentary)

Absolutely safe. Along with your captain, there is a minimum of two crew members on every sail to make sure you feel comfortable and at home on the water. We are stocked with water, beverages, and life jackets should you feel you need one.

It is very rare for our guests to become seasick. While most people do not experience any sea sickness on our motor yachts, you may want to consider light medication if you normally take it for motion sickness. We cannot officially advise you to take any medication, however.

Our cruise will end at the same pier from which it departed.

The aft-deck observatory of these yachts is a completely enclosed area with a roof, so in the event of rain, you will be covered.

This cruise is very lightly narrated by the captain or a crew member. This cruise is particularly great for sightseeing of lower Manhattan, and it tends to be a hit among locals, couples, and guests coming straight from work. In efforts to make this event most relaxing, only light narration is provided and light music is also played.
