About this activity
Visit: Oberia Dempsey Multi Services Center
Most of us are familiar with the biblical story of Job, who believed and trusted that God would deliver him, even though his heart was broken and his body was overcome with pain. Ebony, the modern-day Job in the gospel play Double for Your Trouble, is under the attack of the enemy and has hit rock bottom. Tragedy has caused her to experience a stream of emotions … denial, hurt, anger, depression, rebellion ... which have left her mentally, physically and emotionally drained. Can God restore and mend Ebony’s broken heart? Yes, He can. But will she allow Him to? This gospel stage play tells the story of God’s love and His ability to restore what the enemy has stolen from you … and give you double for your trouble. Written, directed and produced by Lisa Evans-Graham, the show takes the stage at the Oberia D. Dempsey Theater in New York City.
