My Mum and myself had a great walking tour of NYC. Ian was fantastic and very helpful with extra tips of where I could find a good hot dog! It was also great to hear information from a true local and to learn to use the subway. We both had a great day, thanks Ian.

Well, this will likely be the last time I book a tour where the tour guide isn’t the face of the company. The complete indifference and ‘just get through it’ attitude the tour guide had was pretty apparent. Yes, he was knowledgeable enough, but throughout the seven hour tour I’d say he talked maybe 25% of the time. In comparison, with every other tour I’ve taken the guide is enthusiastic about sharing information and talking somewhere around 80% of the time, sharing info about the big and small things around us. We had to ask questions a lot to get much out of him. Compared to the ten other tours I’ve taken in my life, this ranks as the lowest. I recommend finding tours where people are rating the guide himself and you’re able to ensure you are getting that guide. It makes all the difference.

NRG is required for this tour. If you don’t want to walk please don’t attend this tour. One World Observatory is also not bad.

Great day in NYC for our family of 4! We had one day in the city and this was a great way to see many of the sites in a short amount of time.

Decided to take the walking tour to be able to see the most out of NY and it surpassed our expectations plus we got to do some exercise at the same time. GLEN, our tour guide made us fell welcomed. He is very charismatic and even though you are on the move during this tour his timing for the different areas of the city was just perfect. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, that is all you need. For the rest of the tour all you have to do is keep all your senses open to see and hear This massive and amazing city. We felt safe and well guided the entire time. We got to experience the busy streets of NY on a Friday afternoon, ride the subway and the ferry, what more can you ask?? If you have a day to explore New York I highly recommend you take this tour, you will not be disappointed and hopefully you get extra lucky and have Glen as your guide, he was GREAT!!!

My teenager and I are first timers in NY and we appreciate the history n culture thru this tour. Our tour guide is informative and she is able to handle our obnoxious tour co travelers.

Great experience -our tour guide mapped out most of the historical places tour guide was well informed and did a good presentation. I thought the walking tour was too fast paced and really did not allow you to enjoy each location. As with all the tours there seems to be a lack of time to spend at each place by the tour guide - I wish Viator would allow more time for the tour guide to spend at each location so you can really take it all in.

This was the BEST day we had. Tom was our guide, and he did not disappoint. Me, my husband, and my 27 year old son went on this tour. My 27 year old even loved this tour. Tom was very fun and interactive. We saw many places we had already explored, but we learned something new and interesting at each place. I would highly recommend this tour for any age.

Lyndsey was our tour guide and she was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable about all of the places that she took us without sounding like she had memorized a script. She made it a priority to make sure everyone had a good time and got the most out of the tour. There was a lot of walking but she also made sure we got a break when we needed one. I highly recommend this tour if you have never been to New York City. There is no way we could have covered that much ground in 1 day on our own.

Joel was AMAZING! As a 10-year resident of NYC, he really knew The City well. We loved his insight at each of our stops like he was sharing a City Secret at each stop, his willingness to answer all of our questions especially those of our precocious 9yo son, his respectful age-appropriate sharing of the 9-11 memorial our kids are ages 9 - 15, and tips on what else to check out in NYC and how to navigate the Subway. We loved his food suggestions, too. It was the perfect way to start off our week in NYC. We saw other group tours that weren't small and it was definitely worth the extra cost to have a small tour just 13 in our group. Of all of our trip decisions, this was by far the best we made!
