Inside the only park in Midtown sits a winter wonderland where ice skating is free and many local vendors have set up shop in the park’s European-style Holiday Market. We’ll give you some recommendations on where you can pick up a last-minute gift or two. You’ll also have the opportunity to warm up with a hot chocolate or mulled apple cider (not included).

After a short subway ride, we’ll arrive at Union Square where another holiday market sits for ready for exploring. This is the market most local’s shop at and every year there are a number of activities and local food samples among the innovative artisans.

On most days, we’ll end at this old-school tavern and celebrity restaurant where the Christmas decorations are something to see. The bar tops itself year after year. Since the tour ends here, we recommend tasting one of their famous housemade egg nogs spiked with your choice of spirit.
