About this activity
Visit: Medieval Times, 149 Polito Ave, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071-3601

Witness an amazing show that presents a rousing live jousting tournament and classic sword fights. Marvel at awe-inspiring horsemanship and falconry. Seated in the castle’s climate controlled Grand Ceremonial Arena, where after receiving colored crowns, you'll cheer for one of six knights (donning matching colored tunics) who chivalrously vie for the honor of Queen’s Champion.

With so much excitement, you’ll build up an appetite. The castle’s serfs and wenches will serve a delicious “hands-on” medieval-style four-course meal that includes garlic bread, tomato bisque soup, oven roasted chicken, herb-basted potato, corn cobbette, pastry of the castle, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages. Also available are delectable vegetarian, Kosher and Halal options. A full-service bar is also available for adult guests.

It was worth doing, but it was a little difficult to get there. Cheapest way is by bus, make sure you get the correct one, if you leave it to late and have to catch a cab from New York City it will cost around 50US

The show and dinner experience was great. The discount ticket was great. Purchasing ticket online was horrible. The company had no documentation of my name, and they were sold out. I had to drive there a day before show to show proof of purchase to be able to attend. Not good.

It is an amazing show. You will be amazed from the moment you step in the building and until the end. The animals are what really amazed me. I don't want to give out too much information to ruin the surprises. Let's say I cheered lots for the Knight I was representing. They accommodated me with a vegetarian meal as I asked. I have told many people about this event already. I was in NYC with a group of 150 people, tour buses. When I called the toll free number to reserve a space for me and my boyfriend 48 hours in advance it was simple. I just said I had booked with Viator and gave her my name.
