Day 1: New York City Walk Hoboken, New Jersey

Stop At: SeaGlass Carousel at The Battery, 75 Battery Pl, New York City, NY 10280-1500
You will enjoy the naturally beautiful gardens in the Battery Park; see its many monuments that tell of the historical legacy of New York City and much of the US as a whole; take in the breathtaking views of a part the coastline of the 'Big Apple'; get a good view of 'Lady Liberty', New York's Statue of Liberty and both adults and kids can enjoy places like the SeaGlass Carousel.

Stop At: Charging Bull (Wall Street Bull), 26 Broadway, New York City, NY 10004-1703
The group will see and take photos of and with this iconic, internationally recognized bronze monument of the US Wall Street and Stock Exchange.

Stop At: Zuccotti Park, Liberty St., New York City, NY 10006
Zuccotti Park was the headquarters of the Occupy Movement a popular movement of tens of thousands of courageous young Americans who endured intense, widespread repression as they stood up for progressive reforms of the financial and socio-economic systems in the United States.

The group will take the Path Train at the World Trade Center for a 10-minute trip under the Hudson River to Hoboken, NJ where the walking tour will continue.

The Hoboken leg of this tour starts here in the Erie-Lackawanna Terminal which was constructed in 1907.

The entire structure was built over water on a steel and concrete foundation. On a typical weekday, over 60,000 commuters use the facility to connect across five modes of transportation: Six ferry slips and fourteen commuter rail lines sit atop the underground PATH train, with an adjacent shed that once accommodated an extensive trolley system, long since replaced with buses and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail system. The individually roofed train shed arches are an innovative design by Bush. The entire structure is copper-sheathed. The original clock tower, destroyed by a storm in the early 1950s, was restored in 2008. A statue of Sam Sloan (1817-1907), president of the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad, stands watch across the parking lot.Kenneth Murchison, architect; Lincoln Bush, engineer. Dedicated by Knights of Columbus in 1925, this World War I American Expeditionary Forces Memorial honours the two million troops who passed through Hoboken, the official port of embarkation. The slogan, “Heaven, Hell, or Hoboken by Christmas,” became popular after a speech by General John J. Pershing as the war entered its final campaign.

President Woodrow Wilson sailed from Hoboken in 1918 to attend the Paris Peace Conference, where he proposed the formation of the League of Nations. Since 1999, Pier A has become a popular recreation space with families, fishermen, office workers on lunch, and hosts to summertime festivals, fireworks, and movies under the stars.

A repository of thousands of documents, photos, and artifacts on the history of Hoboken.
The tour will visit several more locations of significance in Hoboken the 'Mile Square City' in the shadow of Manhattan.

Visit the 250 years old St Paul's Chapel a historical New York City icon on Broadway Downtown Manhattan. It survived the events of 9/11 and was used as a base for First Responders.
