Take an interactive journey through history and innovation as you explore the legendary aircraft carrier "Intrepid", the space shuttle "Enterprise", the world’s fastest jets and a guided missile submarine. Pre-book tickets for convenient Priority Access.

Visitors to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum can experience a legendary aircraft carrier, the first space shuttle, the world’s fastest jets, and a Cold War-era submarine.

Welcoming more than a million visitors a year, the museum employs history and technology to inspire and advance innovation by developing the next generation of leaders in science, technology, engineering, and math.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is dedicated to the exhibition and interpretation of history, science, and service from its home on board the aircraft carrier Intrepid, a National Historic Landmark.

Your flexible admission ticket allows you to adjust the day of your visit to the Museum to best fit in with your changing plans. The ticket allows you to visit on whatever date you like, within a month of your scheduled ticket date.

The former aircraft carrier USS Intrepid was launched in 1943 and fought in World War II, surviving five kamikaze attacks and one torpedo strike. The ship later served in the Cold War and the Vietnam War. It was decommissioned in 1974, and today is berthed on the Hudson River. You get the chance to visit 4 decks of this great ship:

- Hangar Deck: A great place to start your visit and our main indoor exhibit space, the hangar deck takes you through both the hardware and humanity of Intrepid.
- Flight Deck: Get an up-close look at more than two dozen authentically restored aircraft, look inside the Restoration Tent, and take a walk through history on Intrepid's island and bridges.
- Gallery Deck: Located between the flight deck and hangar deck, the gallery deck features the combat information center (CIC), squadron ready room and marine berthing.
- Third Deck: Learn about shipboard life in Intrepid's restored galley, enlisted mess and crew berthing
The newly reopened Space Shuttle Pavilion showcases Enterprise, the prototype NASA orbiter that paved the way for the space shuttle program. Dynamic exhibit zones feature original artifacts, photographs, audio, and films that immerse visitors in the science and history of Enterprise and the space shuttle era.

Growler first opened at the Intrepid Museum in 1989 and is the only American strategic missile submarine open to the public. Museum visitors are offered a first-hand look at life aboard a submarine and a close-up inspection of the once top-secret missile command center.

The fastest Atlantic crossing by any Concorde occurred on 7 February 1996 and took only 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 59 seconds. This record-breaking plane, the Concorde Alpha Delta G-BOAD, is yours to explore at the Intrepid Museum complex on Pier 86 (additional entry fee).

Upgrade your experience by choosing an option that includes a simulator experience like the Transporter FX or the 4D Experience Stories of Intrepid.

Select the option with a guided tour to choose one of two tours that dive deep into the history of the famous Intrepid ship or the Concord. Please note that it is not possible to take both tours as they run at the same time. The Concord and Intrepid tour run Monday through Friday at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays the tours run at 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.

During The Intrepid 101: In The Seas, In The Skies guides tour, you will learn about the history of Intrepid from 1943 to 1974 and beyond. Explore the hangar deck, where aircraft were maintained and stored, and the flight deck, where thousands of aircraft were launched, and hear stories from the ship’s history. Recommended for ages 10+.

Choose the tour of the Concorde to take off on a unique exploration of the Concorde G-BOAD, the fastest commercial aircraft to cross the Atlantic Ocean. This tour offers guests the rare opportunity to enjoy the comfort of the Concorde’s first-class cabin and get an up-close look inside its sophisticated flight deck. Recommended for ages 10+. Visitors younger than five will not be permitted on this tour.
