As you head toward the highest point of Top of the Rock, you will learn about the history and architecture of Rockefeller Center. The building has three indoor and outdoor observation decks that offer views of Central Park and the heart of Manhattan.
Top of the Rock is considered the best lookout point for its views not only of the park but also of the front of New York’s most iconic building: the Empire State Building. (Top of the Rock is included only in the complete tour modality)

This should have been a great tour and had the guide known where things in Central Park were then it probably would have been - however when your tour guide is constantly asking vendors within the Park where things are and even then other tourists were googling their maps to try and assist -still we did not get to see the items on the itinerary we only saw baseball field, and old tavern and a childrens play area -not the carousel!!. Other guests spoke to Amigo Tours while we were in the Park, and were told this was the guides first tour -clearly he didnt know the Park and hadnt prepared. After only and hour in Central Park -clearly not enough time -we walked for 90 minutes, going round in circles and in the wrong direction until again another guest lead the way to Top of the Rock!! The walk should have taken 20 minutes at most. On arrival at Top of the Rock, the guide got our tickets and left us waiting in line when our entry time was for 30 minutes later - and the guide had the cheek to ask for a tip!!!
